7 AM on Tues morning--going to Madison for the day-- freezing cold out--- back out of garage and push the button in my car to close the garage door. The door closes and then goes back up--- and down and up and down! Supposed to have snow showers. Couldn't leave town w/garage door wide open! Called A and R about 7:30 AM. Spoke to Avery nice man. He said they would send someone else between 10 and 12. 11:50 I got a call saying they would be at my house in 10 min. They came (2 guys) They checked it out, said I need a new garage door opener system. Mine was 28 yrs old!! The guys put a new one in. They were great! Left about 1:30. Nice guys and very efficient. Thank you sooooo much!!!

Most importantly, the job was done, it was done right, and it was done quickly. And I very much appreciate them providing an option to repair my door rather than replace it, when I assumed replacement would be needed. That said, the service along the way was not a 5 star experience. Despite coming out and inspecting the doors before giving me a price, once they had started the job, they found more work that was required, of course at a higher cost than what they had quoted. Obviously by that point, we had no choice but to pay for the additional work. After they completed the work I had to clean up after them, they left trash throughout the garage, piles of dust from when they sawed the tracks, and even a large screw that could've damaged a tire if I hadn't found it. There were other minor annoyances, but I don't want to pile on since I never want to hurt someone's ability to do business. They did get the job done, so you won't go wrong using them. You just might not get the full 5 star experience, unless I just happened to catch them on a bad day.

When my garage door torsion spring, broke I knew there was only one place I should call. I did a review about 10 yrs ago and hoped they were still in business and the service was up to par. Well, they once again exceeded my expectations! I called at 5:30pm on New Year's Eve expecting voicemail. Rob answered and helped me set up an appt on 1/2/2024!! Ryan came exactly on time and fixed the door in about 30 minutes. The price was reasonable and exactly as quoted. You can't ask for anything else!

We had Safe Smart Overhead Door look at our garage doors. Our one-car door opener wasn't working at all. Safe Smart said we needed a new opener. In this case they installed a LiftMaster opener which included a new rail and chain. Our double--car door was stopping on the way down. It was frustrating because when you wanted to go out, we used the remote in the car, and the door would stick midway, but not always. In this case, Safe Smart recommended switching the sensors. Before we had Safe Smart come to our home, we asked about pricing for openers. The price they quoted on the phone was exactly the same as the price we were charged. We highly recommend Safe Smart!

We found garage door opened a foot then stopped. One of torsion springs is broken.
