Google5We are extremely happy with our new garage doors and garage door openers ( purchased before the doors). Doug and Chris have been awesome to work with. The doors are beautiful and installation was excellent. We also found the pricing very reasonable and fair . When we had the new garage door openers installed I managed to drew up the programming. The tech met me the next day to fix it with me. Very patient and took time to explain it to me. Great company I highly recommend Overhead Door Company of Lancaster !

Google5Overhead spring on my garage door broke. I called and they fit me in the schedule within a day. Gave a good, fixed price, to replace 1 or both springs. Installer was very professional and worked efficiently. Our door is back up and running good as new.

Google5My garage door spring broke. Garage door is stuck. I call them, they come out, new spring, professionally installed by a master technician. They called 30 mins ahead, said they would arrive on schedule, which they did. Price was certainly reasonable. Service was outstanding. Good, honest people. They didn't try to pressure me into buying additional stuff.

Google5Another wonderful experience with Overhead Door Company of Lancaster. From the moment I called to setup an appointment I commented to my family how friendly Christine was on the phone. Allen arrived early for the first appointment of the morning, replacing my keypad, installing a new gasket and providing instructions of how to make this keypad last longer…all in 15 minutes. Great experience!

Google5I have sent in positive reviews for other companies. They have been well deserved. But none as much as from our experience at the Overhead Door Company today. We were having problems with the old remote for our garage door handed down to us by the previous owners (over 10 years ago). I took it to their business and met four of the nicest people I have ever encountered. The amount of effort they put into such a small project was astounding. ** And it's obvious to me that if they cared so much about THIS, then the way they treat real customers must be tremendous. ** My wife and I are in our 70s. I don't ever remember being treated so much like family as they treated us. They weren't doing it as a job. I believe they really cared about us. I cannot recommend them more highly! Google5Even, did an excellent job of repairing my garage door. The damage was not minor. He meticulously worked to dismantle, repair and re-install my garage door. Works better than it has for years. I highly recommend the " Overhead Doors" company for any garage door repair needs.

Angi2After the payment and continued complaining with Home Depot, Calder finally did a site visit and measured the openings. It took another 2 months for the doors to arrive and more time after that to arrange installation. Calder claimed that they never received the work order from Home Depot and visa versa. Any way, it was a good 4 months before work was started. The installer complained from the start as to how far he had to travel (from Lancaster to Carlisle). The doors that he installed the first day were: 1. Two different doors from the ones ordered and paid for. 2. The lites(windows) were from two separate models. 3. The installer still installed them. 4. A garage door opener was ordered for the one door. It was never installed correctly and jeri-rigged into an existing light fixture. 5. The other door never opened correctly ( the one panel must be physically pushed in while raising door). 6. The dispatcher was rude and stated if I wanted the work corrected, there would be an additional charge. 7. Out of desparation I agreed and the 2nd techician was appologitic and did all the re-work. There was no charge. The bottom line is the initial instalation was botched. Services Rendered: My original Garage doors were wood and falling apart. I have a double Single door garage. So I had to get two doors. I went to the local Home Depot; who subsequentally sub-contracted the job to Calder. The job was paid in full up front. Calder has an agreement to do all of Home Depot's installations.

Angi1Overall the installation was a lousy job. Services Rendered: We went with Calder because we liked the product they were selling, even though they were not the least expensive. When the installers showed up, we found out it was a subcontractor. While the doors were being installed the contractor informed us that the windows could not be placed where we wanted in the third panel. He had to put it on the top panel(I like to look out my garage while I am working with it on the top panel). I could not do this. When Calder called we informed him we were not satisfied with the location of the windows. They did send someone out to correct the situation, but we discovered that the window panel was dented and was hidden by the door frame. They were supposed to order a new panel. When several weeks went by and we did not hear from them, we called and they FORGOT TO ORDER THE NEW PANEL. Eventually it did come in and was replaced. After using the doors for several weeks I noticed the track was bent at installation. They also installed a weather stripping on the garage floor allegedly to prevent water from entering the garage - these do not work at all as the rain still comes in just as happened with the old garage doors.

Angi5Arrived on time as scheduled and immediately saw the problem. Adjusted cables and some of the hinges. Lubed all hinges and pulleys and made numerous adjustments to cables. Kept me informed as job progressed and showed me where to lube the door when needed. Extremely thorough and very professional. Cannot say enough good things about the technician. He got a quote for me on a new opener while there and you can be sure I will be buying from this company and recommending them to all my friends in the future. Cost of service was very reasonable compared to other estimates I had gotten. Services Rendered: Re-Aligned garage door which was making a loud howling sound

Angi1I don't know yet. They didn't show up and didn't give me enough time to respond to their phone call. Services Rendered: No work done. I scheduled a time for them to come out between 12pm and 2pm today. I stepped away from my cell phone for a few minutes. They called me on my cell phone to tell me that they couldn't find my address and I had 5 minutes to return their call or lose my appointment. I called them 17 minutes after their phone call and had to reschedule. I expressed my annoyance at having only 5 minutes to call back and the receptionist wasn't very sympathetic. They promised to come out tomorrow in the late afternoon. Here's hoping they have my address right tomorrow. If they don't do a good job tomorrow I will not be happy.
