Google1Make sure to record your conversations with both the service and sales staff, as prices can vary significantly. I don’t usually write reviews, but my original quote ended up tripling. Lexi followed up on my website request and told me spring installation for both residential doors would be $360, and I could use my own garage door openers. Later, I called back and spoke to another person who said it wouldn’t be a problem and that they would make it work(Installing my personal openers). Lexi then scheduled my service for the next day. When the team arrived, they just did an estimate and left. I called Lexi again to say I didn’t want a salesperson to do an estimate—I thought the service was supposed to be done. She agreed, checked the notes, and said someone would contact me by tomorrow. Since I was providing all my own materials, she said the final price should be less than the original $360 quote. A few hours later, I got a call from Dan?, who said I needed garage door extensions and quoted me over $990. I told him about my earlier conversation with Lexi and asked him to check with her. He called back a few minutes later and said the estimate was wrong and that it was per door, plus labor, plus additional fees..I thanked him, but his tone turned condescending, and he asked, "So are you just going to let me know?" I replied politely that I would probably shop around. He laughed and said, "Yeah, good luck," before I hung up. I have recordings of every call. Either someone in the office doesn’t know how to quote labor-only work (since I already have all the parts except the extensions that I will now buy), or they are trying to upsell me. Overall, this experience was very unprofessional, and I would not recommend this company. By no means do I want to sound like a “Karen”, but I want you all to be aware. I understand simple misunderstandings, but there was no effort to rectify this situation and I still can't fathom how wildly different the two price points are for Labor only work.

Google5Had them come to fix a broken spring. Called on Monday afternoon, they were here Wednesday morning. Got everything fixed within an hour, and price was very reasonable. Beat other companies' quotes by hundreds of dollars. They were recommended by a friend who used them in the past, and I can see why they recommended. Great company!

Google5I recently had the professionals from Lansing Overhead door at my house when my garage door springs broke. They were kind and courteous on the phone as well as in person. They promptly scheduled my service and advised me of their recommendation. I never once felt that they were attempting to upsell me. The service tech was prompt and provided a phone call that he was on his way. I had a wonderful experience from start to finish with this company; I highly recommend them!

Google5No need to call anyone else! I discovered a broken spring on my garage door two days ago. So I found five phone numbers. I was gonna call local companies in the area in Lansing, and the first one I called was Overhead Door just because I’ve heard their name mentioned a few times amongst people. I think I was on the phone three minutes and had an appointment with a tech set up for two days later. Josh was here and gone within an hour replaced two springs on my garage door $360 later I was all set. I don’t think I’ll need to call anybody else for any other issues ever. Thank you Overhead Door and thank you, Josh!!!

Google5Dale from overhead doors did a fantastic job! Prompt courteous service very professional and knowledgeable. Service my garage door for a 10th of what someone else quoted me to repair it. I would highly recommend this company to anybody who needs a garage door service don't be taken advantage by somebody else.

Google5I have been using Overhead for years. When my garage door broke recently, I couldn't get an appointment for a few days with Overhead so I called A1 Garage. The "repairman" arrived and immediately told me I needed a new garage door opener without even trying to repair it. He was pushy and aggressive and gave an outrageous quote. I set an appointment with Overhead for the next day. Tyler B quickly identified what was wrong and fixed it in a few minutes and did overall general maintenance. Pleasant and professional and an actual repairman -- not a sales person! I will only use Overhead from now on.
