I reached out to this company on October 26. I then followed up a few days later after not hearing back. The gentleman I spoke with did immediately go to our house to take a look but never got back to me (it's a rental house), so I again had to check back in. A day later, he responded, told me the issue, gave me a quote and said, "If you let me know, I can probably get it done later today." I gave him the green light and told him to invoice me. My renter called me on December 4 asking when the garage door would be fixed! That's over a MONTH after the man I spoke with at this company said he'd go fix our issue! Not only did they not show up that day, but he didn't show up at any time or even bother to call me back. I called him on December 4 to ask what was going on. He seemed confused by who I was. I explained the whole history and told him to look at the text messages on his phone between us. Even after explaining what had happened, he never once apologized. Instead, he said he'd look at his records when he got back to his office and would call me. That was yesterday morning. He never called me. I called and texted him this morning. Radio silence. I finally left him a message that we are taking our business elsewhere. I don't know how this company has such great reviews if this is how they treat customers. I agreed to the price, gave him my information to invoice me, and spent a lot of my time trying to follow-up with him to no avail. It was an incredibly frustrating process. I called the office to see about Free State providing service, to replace a garage door. I was told they would call next week. Received no call that week, so called the company. They said perhaps next week they could do the work. Called again today which is the 3rd call made, as we were expecting a call last week. Respondent said "maybe we can do that work late next week." I consider responsiveness poor, based on the interaction we had with this company, so I declined services with this company. Services Rendered: Garage door replacement

They were very prompt and professional. The guy who installed the openers was very knowledgeable and was helpful when answering questions and showing me how to use the new hardware. Services Rendered: Replaced spring on one garage door, installed two new openers and wireless pad which opened both doors.

Great. With even with such a small purchase, the service was excellent. Free State personally dropped off the spring at my office the day after ordering. I would not hesitate to call them for more significant work. Services Rendered: Didn't do much. I just bought a garage torsion spring from them which I replaced myself.

They did a good job of matching the panels w/ the existing ones, and the installation and alignment seems outstanding. But I had to take two days off of work, and they didn't show up or even call either day. When I tried calling them, I had trouble getting through their phone system. The trouble was that when they got the panels in, they weren't insulated, so they had to order the insulation and delay installation. They finally sent someone out on a Sunday morning to finish the job, but I wish the communication had been better, or if there had been a discount for the trouble. It was still cheaper than new double and single garage doors. Services Rendered: We needed a few new garage panels to replace ones that were dented (on 20-year-old doors), plus some broken hinges replaced. We didn't want to buy whole new doors because we had just moved into the house and had other expensive projects to do as well.
