Google5David Harmon did a tremendous job cleaning our fireplace. He also gave us several tips to keep logs clean and springtime maintenance. Very professional. We would highly recommend Fireside to all Findlay and surrounding area residents.

Google5For a while I have been searching for a company in Northwest Ohio to service my Quadra-Fire Mount Vernon AE pellet fireplace insert. I have kept up on general maintenance and cleaning, but after 10 years, it was time for a professional to check it over and make sure it was still functioning correctly and safely. Prior to Findlay Door and Hearth coming to service my pellet insert, I contacted several fireplace service technicians, and all were hesitant on servicing our pellet stove since they were not the original installers. From the beginning, my experience with Findlay Door and Hearth was pleasant and professional. Most of my communication was through email. All the correspondence were done in a timely manner. Any questions or concerns I had were handled professionally and with much consideration by Mike and Dave. When I initially contacted Findlay Door and Hearth, I was expecting the same response that I had received from all other fireplace specialty stores. However, Findlay Door and Hearth was different. They were willing to work on my stove which they did not install. Having a little knowledge about my pellet stove, I had some concerns that I felt needed addressed, and I shared these concerns with Mike and Dave, and they were willing to order the parts and bring them with on the service call based from my suggestion. I was grateful for this seeing as how they brought all the parts and materials they needed on the FIRST service call. There was no need for them to come back multiple times. Although I was not able to be at home while Dave was servicing our pellet stove, just through our conversations via email, I felt comfortable opening my home to him. Dave deep cleaned the insert, checked the thermostat settings, vent connections, fire pot, and self-cleaning mechanism. His work seemed to be very thorough and impressive. The best part was he replaced a combustion blower that has been getting louder since the beginning of the heating season. Now the unit runs whisper quiet. With that being said, one of the most impressive things about Findlay Door and Hearth’s technician Dave was the way he left the house. When my wife and I got home from work, there was no evidence (other than a clean, quiet pellet insert) that Dave had even been there. There was no ash, soot, or dirt anywhere. The area around the stove was clean! No handprints, oil marks, tool marks, nothing! Overall, my experience with Findlay Door and Hearth was excellent! Every aspect of their service was done professionally, respectfully, and the cost for the work done was extremely fair. As I hope my pellet stove continues to run well for the rest of my winters, should I ever find myself in a situation where I need a complete pellet stove replacement, major service, or having a professional make sure my insert is still in great working order, Findlay Door and Hearth will be my first call!

Google5So happy with the replacement unit for our ventless fireplace put in last fall. Looking forward to another season of warmth with it. The service was excellent and was given answers to all my questions. Highly recommend Findlay Door and Hearth.

Google5Dave just left, very professional and knowledgeable. Had to have the ignition unit changed out and added a blower. Would highly recommend them.
