BBB1‼ïAVOID CONTRACTOR‼ï

Save the *massive* headache and avoid ***************** Jackson & Daughter contracting. *******************************
Don't waste your time!
0/5 professionalism
0/5 on time completion
0/5 communication
0/5 knowledge
0/5 experience

We hired him to remodel 2 bathrooms and kitchen backsplash. He asked for more money because the other wall (I have 2 walls) in my kitchen was not accounted for in the bid for backsplash. He spent so much time running to the stores to buy the bare minimum of materials (even tho he told me everything was purchased). Almost every day he showed up after 10am, averaged 2 hour long lunch breaks, and left by 230pm most days. He doesn't work 8 hour days. We were his only project so no reason he could not have stayed and worked longer to get the projects done quicker. He told me 5 days total and ended up being 2.5 weeks. We went without a shower in our house for 2 weeks!! He claims he has 20+ years experience and knowledge, but had no idea about how long tiling the shower walls and flooring would take(which was 75% of our projects). He should've consulted his tiling contractor first. He came up with excuses as to why he couldn't work some days. He called me one day asking if I could give him $4,000 more because his account was running low and he spent all the money on materials and then some. Not my problem he did not bid a job correctly and measure for tile properly. Told him no because the 1 line contract stated "50% due upon signing and 50% due upon completion". He didn't have any projects completed at that point but had the nerve to ask for more money then hung up on me when I said "no, he will get paid at the end". Totally unprofessional. Communication was poor- I stayed home for 1.5 weeks to make sure he showed up and actually worked instead of dragging the project out. I would ask what time he would show up and leave while we were gone and would never stick to those times. Out of the 2.5 weeks he put a tarp down on my carpet 2 days and gray grout is stained into my white carpets. Oh and he doesn't have his own tools, well at least he doesn't show up with any. A trailer full was the tile guys and he asked to borrow my husband's tools when doing a job we paid him for. He doesn't know how to do plumbing because it caused a leak in our garage/basement and he said it was not there before. (It was not). He came to our house to "fix it" when we called but it was still leaking the next time we showered. He failed to seal around the tile shower faucet. We now have a real plumber coming out to fix it Tuesday. So until then, no shower once again.

We fired him, he was doing more damage than good. We are suing him for damages, time, and negligence. Unbelievable.
