Google5We needed to replace our 40-year-old garage door as it was stopping halfway up periodically. I had been nursing it along for way too long. So, I gave man a call and spoke to man on the phone and through several text conversations. He was straight forward and honest about supply issues plaguing almost everything now-a-days but said he would do his best to get us taken care of. He checked on available inventory and sent me a picture of the door he could get us. I liked it and we moved ahead. One week later, our new door, rails, and opener were perfectly installed and look fantastic. I could not be happier with our new door. Thank You

Google1STAY AWAY! I rarely write reviews as you can tell from my profile. I usually make the time to do it either when I've had exceptional service or on rare occasions when my experience has been beyond appalling. In this instance, I don't think the English language has the right set of words to describe the horrid experience my family and I've had. I am adding this review to Google in addition to the one I left on Yelp. Why they get a 1-star review (I'd give zero if I had an option): Shady Estimates: Outrageous charges that kept piling up after the job commenced that ended up exceeding quotes provided by other reputable garage door companies who had shared itemized estimates. It started with $600, then they tried to tack on an additional $900 to the job. When I asked to withdraw and leave the garage door as is, they said I'd have to pay $450 to cancel - $150 as cancellation fee and $300 for parts (I can confirm the parts they wanted to charge me for cost $75). After raising my concern and telling them I had written estimates from other reputed companies, they ended up doing the job for a total of $1,200 (dropping the $900 tack on charge to $600). When the technician (Matan) had showed up to my house to give a quote, I had specifically asked how confident he was that the job would be done for $600 and that springs wouldn't have to be replaced - which is why I had given the green light to proceed. The next morning the story changes that the springs cannot be salvaged. How can an experienced technician not catch that in the first go? All others that had showed up earlier had suggested the springs need to be replaced with a clear and itemized invoice. I should have listened to my instincts and withdrawn from the job right then. Lies and deceit: When I followed up and said that the job was not done to the satisfaction and the rollers which I constantly kept pointing at and suggested needed replacing, they said they'd send the technician to inspect. However, he never showed up. When I asked why, they said the technician and the office tried contacting me - but I didn't even get a single missed call or a voicemail. After calling them multiple times they finally quoted me an outrageous price of $400 and wanted to charge me for labor again - which could have been avoided if it was taken care of the time the original door was being repaired. Also, the company kept consistently lying to me that the technician tried calling me. I recommend you stay away from this company. They will try and fleece you and upcharge you and leave you with horrid unprofessional service. The thought of talking to them again makes me furious - I wish this company upon no one. Only trust the 1-star reviews on this page. I recommend Precision Garage Door of Southern California - they will not cheat you. They're as professional as they get. I hope this review saves you some headache - look elsewhere and save yourself some trouble.
