I contacted him on a Monday. (office was closed). the owner responded a bit later that day. He called back the next day, and was there by the early afternoon. The motorhead of the opener was hanging on 1 side. He looked things over, told me what was needed, and did it in a blink of an eye. He also did maintence on the wheels and tracks. He is knowledgeable, curtious, and very reasonable. I had nothing to clean up when he was done. (not like the person that installed it a few years earlier.). I will use this company again and be referring him to friends and family!<br /> <br /> <br />

My garage wasn't closing properly. I called Franklin Overhead garage to come look at it as I was happy with their service in the past. I was able to quickly get an appointment and when they came the problem was fixed in like 2 minutes no exaggeration. I will keep on calling this company anytime I need something for my garage door. One of the cables on our 2 car garage door broke in the morning as closed the door to leave for work. I called Franklin Overhead Door at 8 am on my way into work. Jake mentioned they had a busy morning, but would get to my home by noon. I returned home at the end of the same day to find a new cable in place, and the door functioning again. A very reasonable invoice had been left for me in the garage, which I was happy to pay promptly. Services Rendered: One of the cables on our 2 car garage door broke in the morning as closed the door to leave for work. Jake and his team installed a new cable and were able to then restored functionality to our garage door.

My garage door had been occasionaly sticking in the up position and on two occasions, just dropped when I closed it. When I called Franklin Overhead, a "real" person answred the phone. We discussed my problem, then made the appointment. The owner came to my residence at the appointed time and looked everything over completely. The service needed was completed the same day in a timely manner. My garage door now works much more quietly with no problems. Services Rendered: He performed a full check-up of the garage door and the mechanism. One of the springs was broken. He had to go to his shop to get the right equipment and returned that day to complete the repair. He oiled the mechanisims and replaced both springs.

He was honest and a nice guy. He was right on time. He did not try to take advance of me, as I did not know anything about garage doors. He put it in layman’s term so that I could understand. He was really honest and that impressed me. I would absolutely use his services again in the future. Services Rendered: I used the services of Franklin Overhead Door. The last time I used his services was probably about two months ago. I had him come out to look at my garage door opener and he could not figure out what was wrong. He tried a few things but nothing worked, so he did not charge me for it. He suggested that I do a new garage door opener. He came back a week later and was actually able to open the garage door with the new opener. He charged $828 for the job done.

Jake came over the same day and fixed the door. The next day he returned to install the reinforcing bars. He was very accomodating after he first arrived the second day and found that the door was locked preventing him access to the garage. No no one was home to answer the door or his telephone calls, but returned the same day after we finally go in touch. After the spring broke, the opener was pulling much more weight and it was actually starting to tear the door apart. He provided an economical fix to the problem and didn't try to sell us a new door. Services Rendered: Jake replaced the tension springs after one broke and made the door unsuable. He also installed two reinforceing bars on the back-side of the door.

I tried to contact another Angie's List recommendation first, since they advertised 24 hour service. After 4 unsuccessful attempts (I got an answering service telling me that the company was unable to receive messages at the time--approximately 6:30 a.m. on a Monday morning). I thought I would try another Angie's List recommendation a little closer to home. I reached Jake immediately, a few minutes before 7:00 a.m., which was a blessing! My car was trapped in the garage and I needed to get to work. He was at my house within 45 minutes, quickly diagnosed the problem & fixed it within an hour. He was extremely polite. The price seemed reasonable as well. Services Rendered: Jake replaced our garage door springs. One was broken and he advised replacing both of them at the same time.
