Google3Update: I prefaced my review saying it was super late but felt I should still share so that quoting practices could be improved. Emails go unread all the time. I stand by my account of what happened despite your version of it. I’m not here to start keyboard fights. We obviously still paid for the service despite feeling misled. —— This review is super late but posting in hopes things have changed since it left such a negative impression. I backed out too early as the door was lifting and there was no apparent spring damage. We were just getting an error code 4-1 excessive impact. We got a quote in person for a little over $100 to “fix” it. I thought I had explained that “fixing” it would be to also fix the dent the panel. The gentleman understood “fixing” it to be reprogramming the door to get it move again. It literally took 2 minutes. I clarified after he’d finished that I was also referring to the dent but he said we’d have to replace the whole panel to get rid of the dent and that’s super expensive. Okay…I wish you would’ve said that when I listed the issues. We are young and this is our first house so we learned from this interaction to make sure we’re on the same page about deliverables. We just wish there was clearer communication about what specifically was going to be done since we’re far from experts in what goes into garage door repairs.

Google5Wow, the customer service here is fantastic! Kevin arrived exactly when he said he would, less than 24 hours after I called. We talked prices ahead of time, and he inspected everything and he had what he needed to get the repair done in less than an hour. Kevin was respectful before, during and after our repairs. The door services are covered under warranty that's included in price. I recommend Carlson Garage Door Repair Company to anyone looking for excellent workmanship with competitive pricing. BBB5I have used ***** twice for my garage repairs since owning our home. The first time the coil broke, and ***** was able to come within 24 hours to fix the garage. He was on time, knew exactly what to do and was reasonably priced.Just today I gave him a call again when our garage door wouldnt open with an issue. He came the same day, inspected, identified the issue and got the work done and my kids were able to come into our home with a well operating garage door that same day.Couldnt recommend ***** enough if you have garage door work that needs to be done.

Google5We had 2 garage door openers replaced by Kevin. We liked the flexibility of buying our own openers and having Kevin install them. His work was professional and the new openers work perfect.

Google5Had two garage issues this year - the first one was a fluke that resulted from me trying to close the door too soon. Kevin came out and fixed that in just a few minutes and answered some other questions for us as well. The other issue involved a broken spring. He was able to diagnose the issue just from me explaining what had happened. Unfortunately, this was on a Friday afternoon and there was only one other company who could come out the same evening to do the repair (understandably so). Kevin did indirectly help as the other company price matched what he quoted me for the repair. Great, honest company that doesn't try to upsell or set crazy prices. Would recommend!

Google5Tons of praise for Kevin. I thought I had a 7 ft door. Turned out to be 8' & Kevin went to Home Depot for an extension at a small reasonable fee. He also spent a lot of time getting my door balanced correctly for the new Chamberlain opener. In the end he spent more time on our install than normal (I suspect) & still gave us a senior discount. Overall, Kevin gives great professional service at a very reasonable price!

Google5Called Kevin when my garage door roller snapped. He answered immediately, was able to fit me in same day, and provided a pricing quote over the phone! Kevin was very courteous in calling/texting me with updates on his ETA since he was coming from another job site. Service was great and he also made some complementary adjustments to my garage door to address some additional issues he noticed. Thankful to find a local small business owner to complete the repair! Highly recommend!

Google5If there was such a thing as a 6 star rating, these guys would be perhaps the only ones to earn it. The other three garage door repair people were not repair people - they just wanted to sell a new door. That included Superior and Envision Garage Door. Kevin actually listened, heard the bad bearing, replaced it in 40 minutes. Saved me over $2900. Even had we let them replace the door, the bearing would still be out! Kevin and Carlson were simply spectacular.

Google5I had wonderful service from Kevin. Originally he was scheduled to come a day later, but he stopped by a day earlier to find out what type spring I needed. By the end of that afternoon, he had replaced the springs, and found the source of my loud squeal in the garage door. He did a great job with the repair and the price was very reasonable for the work done. Will definitely call again if I have future needs.

Google5This is my second experience with Carlson Garage Door Repair. The first was the installation of a new opener. Which was perfect. This time my torsion spring snapped. I can't say enough how awesome they are! I texted in the AM and he was out in hours. And did awesome work in -5 weather! It is so nice to know that you can trust the work and the price, and I highly recommend them. I can't say enough. Extremely satisfied.
