What a nightmare! Being a woman homeowner I’ve had my fair share of dealings with misogynistic men in construction, but this one takes the cake. I have never been treated as poorly as I was when I employed Kal Eleffendi, owner of Kal Construction and Design in St. Paul MN, to head up my full house remodel after a house fire in February. This contractor is extremely unprofessional in the way he deals with clients. He was very disrespectful and made inappropriate comments toward me, yelled at me when I asked questions, made very little progress in the nearly 5 months on the job, caused additional damages by pure negligence, refused to be transparent with costs, refused to listen or take direction from me resulting in numerous mistakes that I was charged to have corrected, the list goes on! Next time you’re looking for a contractor or home renovation professional, do yourself a favor and avoid Kal Construction and Design and his subcontractor, Rivera Quality Construction aka Rivera Quality Renovations.
