All went well. We met ahead to get a bid and we also met with another company. The two bids were within a few dollars of each other. We chose Performance Door because they also offer emergency service, if needed. The new doors are beautiful and so quiet. Services Rendered: We replaced two single garage doors that were 30 years old.

For weeks I had been trying to get someone to install a garage door but this summers Hail storms have everyone booked. Fortunately, we Met Shawn at his booth at the Anoka County Fair....I almost walked past his booth without stopping assuming he would be booked too....GLAD I STOPPED TO TALK WITH HIM! He came out 2 days later (after dinner) and installed the door. He then came back out on Saturday to install the Lift Master opener. Shawn went above and beyond to help us. He is a hard worker and does a fantastic job! He's my door guy from know on! Services Rendered: He Installed a 10x8 garage door w/ opener at my home in Ham Lake.

I called PP several weeks in advance of our closing date since I wanted to have the garage door openers installed immediately after closing (that same afternoon). Jeff and I locked in a date and he asked that I confirm a week in advance since sometimes closing dates get moved. I confirmed with Jeff and we agreed on a time. Jeff showed up with a helper pretty much exactly when he said he would. Both guys were very professional yet also personable. When necessary they asked the right questions about placement of the wall mounted openers and even confirmed where they should run the wire to the openers. They installed the exterior keypad as well as programming it so that each door has its own code (and that way we didn't have to have two separate keypads). The car remotes were also programmed to open each door separately. All in all the installation went perfectly and he even charged me slightly less than what he quoted since I only needed one external keypad. The only and quot;criticismand quot;, if you can even call it that, is that Jeff was a little reluctant to sell me the internet gateway that would allow me to use an app with my Liftmaster opener. I think this was a shame since the app is fantastic, my wife uses it all the time to make sure that she actually closed the garage door. I was also able to set it up to text me if a door is open more than 30 minutes. And I was able to remotely open the door for the landscaping guys to come into the garage to work with the irrigation control unit. So I love the app! I think that the reason that Jeff was reluctant is because he has such a strong work ethic, believing in delivering a complete turnkey package to the customer, and the internet gateway is not his strong suit. What I would say to that is: he is so good at the rest of the installation process he shouldn't worry about this part. And anyway, the set up of the internet gateway really should be the responsibility of the homeowner and not the installer since you have to hook it up to your router and go online and set up passwords. So I would hire them again in a heartbeat! And I really like the battery back up on this unit since we have already has to use it twice! This garage door opener is one of the cool things I like about our new house :-) Services Rendered: Performance Plus installed two garage door openers in our newly constructed house.

Excellent......this is the second time I had Jeff out to our place (I think the first time was to replace a broken spring). He's a big strapping guy with a good personality that you'll instantly feel comfortable with. The first time we met him was a few years ago when he replaced our springs. That was a bit more of an emergency situation but I checked the review for our area as best I could and everyone I found seemed to like Jeff. That time he replaced the springs and about 3 rollers that he thought were running a bit crooked and did some alignment things. This time I just called him for a routine maintenance because personally I think that's a good thing to do from time to time, and I liked the guy and felt comfortable with his input. He took a look at things, did some of the usual lubrication stuff, recommended replacing a few of the rollers that we hadn't replaced before, then was on his way. His personal opinion was that the garage door didn't seem to be in any sort of major stress and should be good for the immediate future. That's pretty much what I thought as well.........he also sent a thank you card within a couple days so that tells you what kind of guy he is.......he's a normal guy trying to earn an honest living that appreciates your business...... Services Rendered: Garage door tune up (lubricate, align/adjust/replace rollers as necessary).....

My existing opener was old and not a current model so I asked what it would cost to replace it with a new opener and install an additional one on another door? He quoted a price that was several hundred dollars less than a quote I had from another Angies list company for 2 openers, the current equivalent 1/2 model to the one I was having replaced. The units Jeff quoted were an upgrade to the model I had. I scheduled an installation and Jeff and Shawn arrived promptly for the install and explained that the 3/4 horse model was on sale and they were installing them for the price they had originally quoted. I was thrilled! The install went well and they even included 4 remotes with the deal. They were both very professional and personable and overall it was a very wonderful experience and i'm not easily thrilled. Services Rendered: Called Performance Plus Garage Door to Check out the Liftmaster opener that was not working on one of my pole barn doors. Jeff was out the next day and determined what the problem was and quoted a price to repair.
