Yelp5My garage door was failing, I contacted Ron through my trusty Handyman Louie. Ron was very responsive and fixed my Garage door by doing some basic maintenance and adding support. I got a quote to install a new opener and swap my old opener into a 2nd garage door I had that was manual. He set it all up at reasonable price. Thanks Ron.

Yelp5Was on my way out to go to work and the garage door went up 1 foot and stopped. Very early in the morning. Used Google search to find help. Ron answered the phone(I probably woke him up). Said I'll be there in 20 minutes. He immediately got the door up so I could go to work. He replaced the coil. Charged me a cheap price. And did it fast. He also had to take care of a locked car with no keys in the way. He's like no problem I can do that to. Just call him. Literally blown away by his skills.

Yelp5I can't recommend A&R enough!! My garage door came off its track this morning and Ron was able to come out same day. A huge relief to not have the garage door open overnight! Ron was a pleasure to work with and very fair with his pricing. You can tell that he really loves what he does and was a pleasure to talk to. If you have garage door issues you should definitely call Ron!

Yelp2Called to get a quote. Response time was quick, but after speaking to a "repair" tech, the immediate response was "It sounds like it's at the end of its life and you should replace it. It'll cost about $700-$850"... So I said I'd call back. Google searched the issue again and decided to buy a capacitor online for $22. Replaced it in under 10 minutes and it fixed the issue. Never sounded better. Smoothest it's ran in a decade... I called for repair and all I got was a Sales pitch. Some day, I will replace the unit, but I'll call someone else.

Yelp5All of a sudden my garage remote would not open my garage door so I checked bbb.org and saw A&R with A+ rating so I called. Ron originally gave me some free advise over the phone; I tried it but still didn't work so he came out the next day; quickly diagnosed the issue and offered to install a new much needed opener replacement but it was after 4:30 pm so I opted to have him come out the next day for final repairs. He was timely; honest; informative; courteous and got the replacement installed in a short period of time; suggested to change the rollers and now I have a smooth opening whisper quiet garage door opener. I would call Ron again if necessary as well as give my recommendations for people to use him as well We've got to keep the small family owned shops in business.

Yelp5Ron was running a little late, but gave me a call to let me know which I thought was more considerate than most repairmen. My springs on the garage door were broken which he repaired quickly, and he also fixed my door which didn't go all the way down to the floor. While talking with him, he informed me how badly I got ripped off when the motor on my garage door broke. Seems as if the repair for a new motor should be a little over $300 (like $315 +/-), and since I was charged over $900 by the previous company I am delighted to inform others that that company has since gone out of business. I even questioned the previous guy about that high price when he was here--and called him about 8 months later to question him again--but he kept swearing that is the price. I was right. I got ripped off bigtime. So goodie! that he is out of business now (the company had some name like AAA Garage Door, but do not quote me on that one). Ron also gave me some information on how to cloud up those windows on the door, so nobody can see in with a good, cheap method I can get at Lowes. My garage door is repaired now, so hoping this repair holds it for a long time. And I will have this company out again should I need him.

Yelp1It's unfortunate that I am leaving this 1 star review, but the fact is A & R Garage Door was a no show, nor did anyone call, when it came to the day of our appointment. My wife and I spoke with Ron yesterday (Friday) afternoon. We were pleased to have been scheduled an appointment between 9:00am-10:00am the next day (Saturday). As we waited, 11 o'clock came and went, so I decided to call and leave a voice message asking for a status update at 11:30am. I still had not heard back from Ron, so once again I called back at 12:45pm, leaving another voice message, requesting a status update for our missed appointment. It's now almost 6:30pm as I type this review and not once did Ron or anyone from A & R Garage Door show up or attempt to contact me. I hope others have better luck. I've since requested the help of another Garage Door company.

Yelp5A&R Garage has done a fantastic job with my garage. I had them install my garage door two years ago and recently requested a small modification so I could fit my truck into the garage. The install looks great and Ron even did some quick maintenance on my door. I can tell you one thing is for sure. Ron cares about his his customers and goes the extra mile for customer satisfaction. A&R garage takes pride in their work and are passionate about what they do. A+ company.
