BBB1Contacted The Overhead ******** of Indianapolis to have a tune up on the overhead garage door. Part of the maintenance included testing the downward force of the door. Instead of getting on a ladder and looking at the garage door opener to verify the force level, the technician held the bottom of the door as it was going down and the door buckled then bent. He contacted his supervisor, replaced the panel, adjusted the downward force of the door and left. The door, which had never had dents or dings until he damaged it, was left with daylight showing through at the top and between two panels. Two days later, on Sept. 7th, the company called asking for payment for the service. I had paid the technician by check on Sept 5., and the person that I spoke to was able to locate the check. I also asked to speak to a supervisor about the damage to my garage door. Another technician was sent on Sept. 8th and he was able to bend the panels to reduce the amout of daylight that was showing. However, there is still a significant amount of light showing at the top and the door looks uneven from the outside. Since daylight is now visible above the door, there is every reason to believe that neither the the water heater nor the furnace, which are both in the garage, will run as efficiently this winter when the temperatures drop. On Sept 14, I received an invoice for the bill that was paid on Sept 5th. I called the company again and was told that there is no outstanding bill. There was no explanation as to why the bill was sent. This information is being posted as a caution to others who need regular maintenance done on their garage doors: Find a more reputable company to do the work! I will not be using The Overhead ******** of Indianapolis again and will make sure that my family and friends know about my experiences.

BBB1The customer service is abysmal at best. I went weeks without hearing a word after **** came to take measurements. When I called to follow up he had no idea who I was then when I jogged his memory he said "oh yeah, no we aren't going to work with you" when I pressed as to why, he said his boss "**** said nah". I asked to talk with **** who said he "told **** we can't work with you until you clean out the garage". Us cleaning out the space was never a question. I made sure to stress that **** just had to tell us when he was coming to do the work and we would have it cleared out. I had heard so many wonderful things about this company and was excited to work with them but no way. Bridge burned. Poor communication is a no go on a home improvements project that costs $1500. **** doesn't care about his customers, **** is quick to dismiss projects without ever having a conversation. Proceed at your own risk. I don't need the headache and am taking my business elsewhere.
