Yelp1Ryan put my parents thru living hell. After he lied to them multiple times they cancelled their order and asked for a refund. He dodged them, continued lying to them, promised to repay them. They thought he was finally reimbursing them but later found out his check had bounced. He still hasn't given them their 1k back and I'm sure he never will. Police were contacted for help but he just lied to their faces as well. Don't do business with him, it's not worth the misery.

Yelp1Ryan of Elite Door of New England was given a deposit for $1000.01 in September 2022 to install a single panel garage door. He kept the deposit and never installed the door, or did any work on it. I sent him the deposit in August 2022 after deciding on the door we wanted. Everything was going fine with him before he received the deposit, but things changed shortly thereafter. He started to avoid phone calls and was rude when he did answer the phone, so my wife told him that we wanted to cancel the order. After contacting him numerous times for weeks and then months, he finally wrote a check in Nov. 2022. The check was returned for insufficient funds. It is now Feb. 2023, and we still have not received our deposit back. I would not recommend him to anyone.

Yelp1Reader's Digest version: very shady organization (Ryan), happy to take your deposit and not deliver on time, then not show up or communicate. It eventually got done but not without a huge headache. I would run from this company. There are many better alternatives. Full story: Elite Door and Ryan were recommended to us by our contractor. We were converting a garage from 2 doors to a single door. Ryan had to coordinate with the contractor as they need about a week to open up the garage and make the necessary adjustments/modifications for the door to be installed. We paid a 50% deposit in early September with a Nov 1 delivery date. After not hearing a word, I reached out to Ryan in early October. I was told the delivery date had moved to the first week of December and he committed to a 12.12 instal date (strike one and it bugged me he never reached out to let me know, I had to call him). 12.12 instal date was very important as my family and I would be traveling for 3 weeks beginning 12.15. Ryan was aware of this and assured me this delivery/instal was a lock for 12.12. I coordinated with my contractor and he began work on 12.5. The first thing to be taken down was the existing garage door which opened my garage up to the world (think security +weather) and put the cars outside (we live in a city neighborhood). I checked in with Ryan that week to verify the 12.12 instal (it continued to be a "lock"). At about 11am on instal day, Ryan called to say "the door didn't make his delivery that day", but they would be back the following day for instal (Strike 2). The following day Ryan didn't show up, didn't call and wouldn't respond to me by phone or text (strike 3). He didn't show up wednesday either. Thursday I left for 3 weeks with my garage open to the world, with no one around and my cars sitting outside. Another concern was going to be potential snow when I was away. Not only could snow get in the garage but the driveway couldn't be plowed with the cars outside. As he had worked with Elite before I asked my contractor to try and step in as Ryan would not communicate at all with me. The instal was finally done a week late and my cars were outside for 3 weeks. To summarize: *Missed initial delivery by 6 weeks and never called to let me know *Committed to the new date of 12.12 and new the importance with the upcoming travel situation. *Recommited ("a lock') the week before instal while the contractor made the modifications to the existing garage and opened it up to the world / weather. *Did not show up on instal date but did call and promised to be there the next day. *Did not show up the next day. Did not call or text, nor would respond to my call or text. Ditto the next day and sent me on a 3 week vacation with no idea of when (if) this was going to get done. *Was finally done a week late with zero communication to me. *My garage was open to the world/ weather and my cars were in the elements for 3 weeks. You can find a better company to work with.
