    Cashier Diane needs to get more frequent breaks or have a little talk with management on attitude and behavior with customers, customers can be a little difficult sometimes, but as a previous employee in retail I would never talk to anyone the way she did.

    This review is for Deanna in the Home Depot Garden Center NOLA East. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, were well-informed and could pick the right product. Deanna provided a service that can only be described as absolutely exceptional. She was motivated, stepped into action right away and did not give up until were were 100% satisfied with the outcome.     I walked in with a dying pineapple bromeliad and asked for someone who knew about plants. I was introduced to someone named Pat or Pam who told me she went to school for plants. She taught me a bunch of different things about my pineapple and helped me buy a bigger pot and some pebbles for her. I really appreciated the help.

    They have a wide selection but the store always looks like it's under construction. If you're a contractor it's great, but if you're a residential consumers you're better off at different Home Depot or just order online.

    I always wonder why people work service jobs they despise. My husband asks a lady for help. Instead of explaining that she is counting out cash and needs to get someone else, she starts barking at him that she can't understand him. That's a racist dig, as he is Hispanic and has a slight accent which is totally intelligible. The security guard walks over to her and basically starts commiserating with her, probably about these horrible customers who want to shop at their store. The Customer Experience Manager, Chris, intervenes to tell us that someone else will come help us, without even bothering to apologize. We have some wooden planks cut and when we get to the register, Ms. Angela at checkout starts berating us, saying that the barcodes her colleague put on our planks are not enough to ring us up, and between eye rolls, deep exasperated sighs, and rude comments, snaps at us that we need to go get another set of planks or she can't help us. Chris, the same manager, is again hanging around watching her employee harass and mistreat customers. A joy to behold.

    My rating is of course comparing to other home improvement stores I have used. The service is not always perfect, but I do find Home Depot consistently better than the other home centers. Their app is really easy to use and I have never had trouble with returns. I can also usually find what ever I need in stock.

    I placed an order online for sheetrock to be delivered and received missing and damaged sheets. I received 50 sheets and 8 of them were damaged. I spoke to the Central store manager Byron to have the the missing 10 sheets plus the 8 damaged ones delivered and to pickup the 8 damaged ones. I reported this last week and nothing came. I've been dealing with Byron (store manager) all this time and today he agreed to send them but not without saying that he was tired of dealing with me. That he had pictures from the driver showing 54 sheets and hinting that I was lying. I also have pictures of the delivery showing 50 sheets. The driver showed me pictures of the damaged sheet prior to making the delivery and I told him not bring them if they were damaged. I also have pictures of that. Overall the experience was terrible and to have someone act unprofessional and to tell me that I was lying is unacceptable. Do not send damaged goods if you don't want the customer to complain.
