couldn't get a hold of these people. On the first call the girl that answered said she would give my name and number to the bosss......no reply. the I tried an email.......no reply second call the girl that answered the phone set up an appointment to come to my house to see the job and give estimate........never showed or called. I guess they are doing so much business that they can pick and choose whom to call.

I had Christie Overhead Door install an automatic garage door system with my existing garage door in April of this year (2023). The outside key pad stopped working in late May. I called 5 times from May to mid-August to ask for this to be remedied. Each time the woman answering the phone said she would have the technician call me. Each time no one called. Then on the 6th try, a technician called, but he had a heavy accent and talked so fast I could not understand him. I called Christie back. The woman said she would have the technician who installed the system call me when he returned from an overseas trip. It turned out this was the owner. In my last conversation with her, she insisted that the owner would call me and walk me through how to fix it myself. That it wasn't worth it to them to come out just for this. Bottom line is the owner never called me and the keypad is not fixed. They are quick to install, but have no intention of providing any customer service after. So buyer beware! It is now September.

Terrible customer service. Waited for six months after two doors were installed for the broken glass and ornamental pieces to be put in. Then waited another month for one handle not installed. Asked for some type of discount. Rude, extremely excitable, demanding last payment be made in cash. Im a highly experienced contractor who holds many licenses. I never talk to any of my customers in the manner they do. Including the so called supervisor. RUDE,RUDE, Impatient, Combative company.

Worst company ever! We had a home renovated about two years ago. We didn't take possession of the home until March of 2020. Christie Overhead Door is who the builder used for the garage door. Fast forward to April of 2021 and the garage door won't open. Since it was installed more than a year ago, it was no longer under warranty. Never, ever had a garage door stop working in my life, but ok. I call to set up an appt and had to wait a week for someone to come. I guess my car is stuck in my garage for the next week. Had my MIL drive an hour to my home to sit and wait for them to show up since we work full time. No one showed up. When called, they told us that they needed to order the part. How do you know which part to order if you never came to look at the door? Oh, we know by the code. Now we need to make another appointment. Waited another week for the appointment while my car is still stuck in the garage, took the day off work so I can be there. I call about 10 am since I haven't heard from them and I'm told they are loading the truck now, they will be there shortly. I wait and wait. I get a phone call around lunch to tell me that someone will definitely be there, DEFINITELY BE THERE, it's just taking longer because they had to pull one of the guys to help on another job. I wait and I wait. No one shows up, no one calls. It's now after 5 pm on a Friday, I call and leave a message that no one showed up. I know they have emergency service on Sat, but no show and no call. I finally get a call on Monday apologizing that no one showed up and to schedule another appointment. Seriously? You must be joking! I found another company to come and fix the door. It was fixed in less than an hour and it cost 1/3 of the price that Christie was going to charge me for labor, no less the cost of the "part" that they said they needed, which was not needed. If you decide to use this company, you've been warned.

If your looking for a company that promises to have things in stock (as per their own recording while on hold) , take days to repair, be ultra rude to you then you found the perfect company. One of the worst customer service i have ever dealt with in any industry. Save yourself the hassle and go with another company

Called today to ask questions on ordering 3 garage doors to be custom built. The lady that answered the phone ran us away with her unbelievable rude and nasty attitude. Didn't even get offered a salesperson. How can you have someone this unprofessional on your phones? She has zero interest in our business or concern for three custom doors. This lady is costing you money and clients. If this is your customer service to incoming clients, I will not be around to see your service after you have my money.

Pretty much scam life here. I used to live in an apartment in the bronx , earlier this year, that uses Christie overhead door as the installer of the garage gate. Parking was $75 a month. But it didn't end there. There was (and still is) a nearly $40 annual remote fee lol. You're paying $40 annually for a remote to access a garage that you're paying $75 monthly for. They should atleast send you some free lube with the remote as they bend tenants over backwards. Oh and there is a $55 reactivation fee should you forget to pay (chances of this are high because they don't send paper bills). I currently live in LA (a major city) and my current gated garage (that beautifully auto closes) comes with a FREE remote. No annual fee...no reactivation fee. Gotta Love Christie Overhead Door & NYC! Greedy and disgusting.

I had a nice experience with the staff there. It seems like a family business. The people are friendly and they don't try to sell you something you don't want/need. I would definitely recommend Christie's if you have a garage door issue.

It is stated on their website "FREE Quotation". Wanted a $200 deposit for them to come and confirm the dimension of the doors that we want to order. 3. They tell you to take the business somewhere else, because they are "Christie Overhead Door" and they have plenty of business.

He worked quickly and cleanly. Services Rendered: My garage door would not work properly. He put in a new motor (I had to take his word for it that I needed a new one) and the cost was very high. However, he arrived when he said he would, he did the work in a timely manner and the garage door works very well and is quiet.

We have no problem with the price, nor quality of the materials or workmanship. The reasons we lowered the grade are as follows: 1. We were told when we received the original estimate that the work would be performed in about 3 weeks from that date. It actually took over a month to get the appt. and we were never given an explanation nor an apology for the delay. 2. There was a relatively simple question regarding whether or not we were entitled to a discount through Angie's List that could have been resolved in one phone call. Instead, it took four phone calls over the period of a week to get resolved. 3. This is the main and most serious issue. When the appointment was scheduled and confirmed, we were told that the technician would be arriving between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. When he hadn't shown up by 1:00, my wife, who had been waiting all morning for him, had to call the company to find out what what happening. She was told that the technician was having a problem with his first job, and it was taking longer than anticipated. The appointment was rescheduled two more times later that day, and each time when the technician had not showed up within the time frame, it was my wife who AGAIN had to call the company to find out what was happening. By this time, it would now be well after 3:00 before the technician would even get to our house, and since we were told that it could take 5 hours or even longer to complete, it seemed obvious to us that the job would have to be rescheduled for another day. However, it was only after a rather vehement protest on our part, were we able to get the company to agree to reschedule. Services Rendered: Installed a new door and motor
