Yelp5My garage door opener broke down and I needed a new opener to get installed. I called so many other companies to come down and take a look what has to get done. I really didn't feel confutable with any of them. There prices were extremely high and they didn't know what they were talking about till I found JOE MANNA & SONS. I called them and Anthony came the same day to take a look what needs to get done. Anthony make me feel so comfortable he new what he was doing. They installed a 3/4 liftmaster for me and did some other repairs on the garage door. Im telling you they were in and out within 2 hours. They did such a good nice clean job for a really decent price. I Will definitely recommend them to everyone. If I was able to give them 10 stars I definitely will. I feel like I hit lotto. I thank god every day I found joe manna garage services. Thank you so much guys I am really happy with the job. GREAT WORK

Yelp5Immediate response to my quote request for an emergency door replacement, which unfortunately happened right before Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Joe Manna and his son Anthony were totally accessible for questions during his busy time. Pricing was fair and competitive. My door was picked up on Monday, and installed promptly within 2 hours on Wednesday am. Anthony and his assistant were clean, efficient and courteous. Would recommend them highly.

Yelp5The service provided by Joe manna and sons was impeccable. The replaced my garage door yesterday. They workmanship was the best. Through the entire process of measuring, choosing, ordering and installing Joe manna and his two sons provided first class service. They were highly recommended by several neighbors - I am glad I didn't pay attention to the negative comments posted on yelp - it doesn't match my experience. I highly recommend them.

Yelp1First, I'm sorry that I even have to give them one star. It should be zero stars. The work was poorly done, garage door is crooked. I asked him to come back and fix it and he said there was nothing he could do. Now three months after the job was done, all the framing around the new garage door (which he installed) is coming apart. I had to call another company to come and fix it. The "kid" that did the job has a lot of learning to do, so don't use them or you will wind up hiring another company to fix the mess he leaves.

Yelp1Hired Joe Manna & Sons to install an electric garage door opener a few years ago and was very disappointed. Extremely sloppy and unprofessional installation. They do not appear to actually understand the mechanics involved in the proper installation of a garage door, nor do they really care to. There were a whole slew of errors, but most notable was that they installed the pulley mechanism so that it pulled at an angle, i.e., not a right-angle from the plane of the door. I'm an engineer and that is completely unacceptable. Called them on it and they corrected it, but they initially said it was "okay". All of their sloppy work that I noted to them they said was "okay", including such things as remote mounted crooked (appeared that the son thought he was in a contest to show how fast he could put two screws through a 2x4 - but he managed to screw that up; flexible vinyl strip between the outside and the garage door twisted during installation - never corrected and paid the price during hurricane Sandy, but that was "okay" with them too; connected the motor to the outlet with an extension cord - said "we're not electricians". Had a failed outside remote this morning (not Joe Manna & Son's fault), but I wouldn't even think of calling them. Instead I called Fenton Garage Doors who are real professionals (used them before to fix another Manna & Sons issue). Fenton people came promptly, identified the problem right away and charged a reasonable price for the replacement remote. Asked Fenton why I could manually pull up the garage door a few inches from the outside. They said because the garage door opener was mounted too far back. Fenton know's what they're doing and are true professionals. My dissatisfaction with Joe Manna & Sons has been festering for years. The reason I'm writing this review now is because I mentioned to Fenton this morning about the sloppy job that Manna did and they said that's really coincidence because just yesterday they did a garage door repair that Joe Manna & Sons initially did and the customer voiced the same dissatisfaction with them. Don't be fooled by the sales pitch of Joe Manna & Sons - that they installed garage door openers for judges and others that are intended to impress. It's just meaningless.

Yelp5After our garage door collapsed due the flooding from Sandy, we didn't know what to do. I started calling around and Joe Manna was third company I called. Coincidentally he was in the neighborhood and came right over. He gave me a great quote and explained there would be a delay because so many others had lost their garage doors, some lost their garages altogether. Once he confirmed his appointment, they arrived early, worked all day on one of the coldest days of winter and completed the installation mid-afternoon. Now our garage door is perfect, practically silent and with the latest technology (we've opened the garage door for my brother-in-law from Florida!). Note: This review had been in my drafts for over a year. This is for work done February 2013.

Yelp1This company never finished the job even though they were paid fully. Dishonest people and would never, never use them again!!!! Save yourself some aggravation and use someone else!
