Yelp1jusr replaced and cble on side only charged $650.00 -too expensive first the guy said he will replace both sides but replaced one spring and cable took about 15-20 minutes . they told me this $ 650.00 is for ine side only ,then left. never use this service veryy very expensive and unprofessional.

Yelp1I had a new garage door and opener installed less than a year ago and the garage door won't close. Called for an appointment and was given a 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. window. NO ONE CAME despite repeated calls and assurances that someone would call me with an ETA. Wasted an entire day with this company and they never showed up to repair my opener. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Would NOT use again and would not recommend.

Yelp5The spring on my garage door broke on a Friday morning. When I initially called Master Garage Door & Gate (MGDG), no one answered. I then called another company, who gave me an appointment for the following Tuesday. It wasn't ideal, but I accepted it as I had no choice. MGDG called me back stating they had a missed call from me. I kindly explained to them that I had a standing appointment for Tuesday, to which they responded they could come sooner. Naturally this was music to my ears seeing as how my garage is the main entry point for my household. They arrived an hour later, and took all of 45 minutes to replace the cables, springs, and pulleys on both sides. They explained everything so well, including the fact that the original springs and pulleys weren't even the correct size, unbeknownst to me. Super quick, supremely efficient! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Yelp1Had our garage door installed for $2100 5/2021. Motor broke 7 months later. I've called dozens of times and have been told they would call me back and didn't. They finally scheduled a meeting and then never showed. They do not return calls again now. I just had another company come in and it will cost $1600 to replace the motor that was just installed a year ago. The worst company and customer experience I have ever encountered.

Yelp1I was ripped off; overcharged for low quality work. My door was left in unsafe condition, only to break shortly after their service. These guys are out for the money grab. They do not take pride in their work and/or follow up with the service guarantees that they promise. They do not answer the phone when existing customers call. They overcharge, lie about parts that they sell you, do not leave doors in safe operating condition, swear by their warranty and then disappear. Master Garage charged me $1300 to replace springs. For starters, this is way overpriced. I inquired about price with the technicians and owner. They claimed that the high quality of the long lasting springs, "Diamond" brand, was the reason for this cost. After paying, I did research and discovered that the springs they sold me were actually not authentic Diamond springs at all. This is based on the authenticity verification instructions on the official Diamond manufacturer website. In addition, I called Diamond, explained the situation and sent photos. They verified that the springs that Master sold me were not authentic. I then contacted Master Garage about this and they confrontationally gave me a long story about the history and legitimacy of their company, but they didn't directly address my focused questions about the authenticity of the springs. Instead, they focused on their warranty/guarantee on their work and said that they would email me details. I never actually received those details. A few weeks later, my garage door started to make noise and was jerky, as other reviewers have also experienced. I texted them about this right away. A full week went by without response from them. Then, they sent a short text message saying to call an 800 number. I've had to work with 5 different phone numbers to contact anyone at this place and all except the 800 number produce a "phone number out of service" message when called. The letterhead of the receipt is a Massachusetts company that also does not answer calls. Text messages are not answered for days, if at all. So much for guarantees of service/quality. Last night, a month after their service, my garage door seized while closing; it was jammed and stuck open. My evening plans were ruined and I had to leave the door open over night, which is insecure. I could not get anyone from Master to respond on text, yelp or phone from any of their phone numbers to help me. Neither the warranty or the high quality parts that were presented as the justification for the overly high price that they charged me -- have been delivered on. Finally, I hired a second company licensed in my area for emergency services. They got the door operational again. They made sure to show me that Master's repair did not leave it in safe operating condition. They showed me key issues and a list of parts that should have been originally identified as safety hazards until replaced (see photos). They showed me the corners that were cut during Master's repair. See photos. Master reused multiple parts that should have been replaced for safe operation. They did not alert me of this and even sold me parts that were not properly sized for my system that I did not need to begin with; worst case scenario. For a week, I only opened and closed my garage door from inside of my house because it was not safe. I payed Master Garage $1300 for this outcome. In addition, I've had to pay another company for emergency services to get the door operational and to do the job correctly, replace parts and properly restore the door to safe operating condition. If you don't want an experience like mine, avoid this company.

Yelp1Called these guys to come fix my garage door. They were very responsive at first and we set up an appointment for the following day. Then he messages at 10pm needing to reschedule because his technician was "sick". Rescheduled for another day for 1-3pm. I tried to message twice asking if they had any earlier times available and was met with no response. 3:45pm comes around and no one ever showed up or called. I message them and get a response 30 minutes later and a call from their technician saying he wouldn't be there for another 2 hours or he could come 2 days later. At this point I already wasted the whole day waiting around for nothing and had other things to do. I'll tale my business elsewhere. Customers beware. HIGHLY un-reliable. Would not recommend.

Yelp5Giving them a GREAT REVIEW!!!! I had an appointment with another company (they had a $150 service fee just to come to the house) and they never showed. I looked on Yelp and called Master Garage Door and Gate. They said that they would come over for a free estimate and it was 5:00 pm and they showed up 30 minutes later. My garage door was sticking for a week and then I finally could not open it without it getting stuck. I showed Rami who showed up and it was now working fine??? I was embarrassed it my have been the ground shifting???? Rami greased the tracks and said no problem left me with his can of lubricate for the door and said if it acts up again call us anytime. NO CHARGE - WOW. I was so grateful as they could have charged me for their time. I would call them without hesitation. Professional, pleasant and came over right away!!! Something that is not always the case!!! THANK YOU!!!

Yelp5Had a great experience working with Master Garage. One of our garage doors was not closing properly. Turns out cable was installed by another firm incorrectly. The technician explained situation and was able to fix the problem quickly at a fair price. He was very polite and professional. Highly recommend!

Yelp5Getting a new garage door for the house was on the list of home improvements we wanted to do, and in the past my family had used Master Garage Door and Gate to have work done, and they left a sticker on the side of the garage to call in case more needed to be done, so we did. After calling the office, I spoke with the gentleman about work they had done in the past, apparently the last time they came, 2 years prior, was just to replace a spring, I said we would need some repairs, and he said he would send a guy out to the house that day for inspection, so that was efficient. The guy comes, young guy late 20's early 30's to check the garage, and says we will most likely need a new door, which we planned for anyway, and he took some measurements, quoted us 2200 for next day installation. I checked online and it was on the higher end for the work, but as it being next day immediate installation, other reviews being good and it fits into our agenda of home improvement, we went with it. The guys come on time with all the equipment and they get to work, and they know what they are doing. Everything solidly installed, new door, tracks, and all. Two guys working and it took them about 2-2.5 hours to get it done. Garage opens and closes smoothly. Door looks nice and it coming with a ten year warranty is much appreciated, service, labor, and workmanship was great. I wore a mask and kept distance best I could while working with them. 5 stars. Punctual, Proficient, Hard Working, Knowledgable, a little expensive but the garage door work does look great, they go above and beyond to get the job done and take care of their customers.
