I really cannot believe that this contractor has not been reviewed. Another contractor recommended them to me and a colleague at work also had a good experience with them. I purchased a couple of garage doors from Home Depot with the naïve belief that I would install them myself. After watching the video I realized I bit off more than I could chew. I called several vendors who either did not call me back or refused to do the work. Virginia Door stepped up and installed each door for **** a piece. I was money well spent. Their most experienced installer came out and hung both doors in about 4 hours without taking a break. Incredible! I've lived in Williamsburg for 12 years and Virginia door is one of 3 contractors I would recommend. Thank you!

I was able to get an appointment for two days later. The morning of, the time was narrowed down to a 2-hr window and Brian showed up within that time. He was courteous and knowledgeable and (fortunately) didn't find anything major wrong with the door, springs or motor, but he made a little adjustment, applied some WD40 and all was well. He even re-programed my keypad access so I could have a new security code (and showed me how to do it myself) and synced a new remote opener for me. Thank you, Brian and Virginia Door! Services Rendered: My garage door started making that horrible noise it makes right before it breaks so I called for service.

I read VA Door (aka Hobbs Door Svce) reviews on Angie's List and very please with their prices and excellent quality of work and responsiveness. This company remembers what Customer Service is all about!!! Extremely courteous, kind, helpful, prompt & reasonable priced!!! Excellent repair service. My garage door opener ripped away where the arm connects to the door. I thought it was going to be an expensive fix since the top panel was damaged. The repair technician was able to fix the door with minimal parts. Service was professional and prompt especially considering that it was around the holidays. I called on a Monday and was able to get an appointment for the following day between 2-4 PM which I thought was appropriate. The next day, 4:20 PM came by and nobody had shown up so I called the company. I was told the technician would be over within 15 minutes. 25 minutes later (45 minutes after the 2 hour window I was given by the company) the technician showed up. I called the company the following day and expressed my concerns. I received the same excuse about traffic from the company that I did from the technician. Living in the Hampton Roads area I can understand the traffic. My concern wasn't so much that the technician was late, it is that company or the technician didn't find it necessary to call and let me know...I had to seek the company out for the answers. The technician did the job in a quick manner and the garage door is working fine so the work seems good. Services Rendered: Replaced broken spring on garage door.
