Angi5The job went very well. We had recently done some upgrades to the exterior of our home and our old, dented garage door was looking pretty shabby by comparison. We picked up a brochure at Costco's kiosk advertising garage doors and I scheduled an appointment for an estimate. C & W Garage Doors is the company that Costco has contracted with do garage doors in our area (Orange County). We also checked them out and were happy to see they had reviews on Angie's List. The company owner, Werner Wilke, actually came out to do the measuring/bid and show us the options, color samples, etc. He was very impressive in that he's done this type of work for many years and was very knowledgable. We also obtained price quotes from another Angie's List company and from a third company who had recently installed a garage door for friends of ours. After meeting Werner and doing some more research on garage doors/openers, we actually decided to go with him even though he was the highest price quote of the three. That's because we liked the quality of the Amarr doors and C & W also had three options for openers where the other companies only quoted us on the low-end opener. C & W carries a variety of quality levels of both doors and openers. We just happened to go with a higher-end product (double ply door with a steel back) that is VERY solid. The gentleman that came out to do the installation was also very professional and thorough. After he finished he did a great job cleaning up and also walked us through the care of our new door (i.e. what kind of lubricant to get and how to apply it) to keep it operating smoothly. We are very glad we decided to go with C & W. Their door is far superior to what we had before and the opener (LiftMaster 8550 belt drive) is so quiet we can't even hear it inside the house. You can barely hear it inside the garage! Our old opener was so noisy it sounded like a grinder and you could hear it throughout our house when it opened or closed. We like the new insulated door because it keeps out a lot of street noise and it has a better seal so we don't get small leaves and other debris blowing under the door like our old one. They also mounted the door rails to our garage roof rafters at our request because the cross beams were bowing. C & W was happy to do this at no extra charge, where the others charged extra. Very happpy with our purchase and we would definitely use them again. Services Rendered: Replaced garage door and opener, hauled away old door/opener.

Angi5Showed up early to my home which I really did appreciate. He was very professional and knowledgable. Thank you to all from the woman on the phone to the service tech. You are ALL awesome. Services Rendered: I actually went through Costco for this referral. When I saw their name on Angie's list, I had to review them. Came to my home and inspected the garage door. I had the spring replaced, bolts tightened and oiled.

Angi4I was actually using Costco to purchase the garage door and this is who they contract with to do the actual work. I was contacted by Cand W Garage doors and set up an appointment with Werner. He was on time and very pleasant. He did measurements, answered questions, showed me the options for Amarr Garage Doors (brand), and gave me an estimate on the spot. The estimate for the Amarr Stratford 3000 door with wood look and decatrim windows came in at $2640. I liked Werner but his was the highest estimate I got. Unfortunately, each company I contacted used a different maker of garage doors, making estimate comparisons difficult. I would potentially use Cand W garage doors but I did not feel like I was getting a price deal in using them and Costco so I used someone else. Services Rendered: Estimate for replacement of current broken garage door with new one.

Angi5I called to get an estimate, and met with Werner a few days later for the estimate. They called about 20 minutes ahead of when Werner would arrive, which I had asked that they do, and we met at the appointment time I requested. Their representatives did a good job of installing our garage door, and when we had a problem with it a few weeks later, Werner came back out and took care of it. We were pleased with the experience. Services Rendered: Representatives did a nice job of installing our new garage door, and when we had a problem come up they responded professionally and took care of it.

Angi5A nice guy came at the agreed upon time and gave me a quote. He was knowledgeable and helped me make a few decisions. I decided to go with C and W because C and W had a good Angie score, even though I had another similar quote from another nice guy. I was instructed to make sure the work-area was clear for the installers or there would be a penalty and the installers would leave. The installers were very good and very quick and spoke good English. The only thing they missed was the emergency release (key) mechanism, which was not on the work request. The quote guy came out the next day and installed it free of charge with a sincere apology. The job is perfect. Services Rendered: Replace garage door and remove old one.

Angi5THEY CAME WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD AND WERE VERY NICE. THEY WORKED FAST AND DID A GOOD JOB. THEY EVEN TOOK THE TIME TO EXPLAIN HOW TO OIL THE SPRING. Services Rendered: MY GARAGE DOORS WERE NOT GOING UP AND DOWN. I HAD THEM REPAIR A SPRING THAT WAS BROKEN.

Angi5IT WAS UNEVENTFUL. I DIDN'T PAY A LOT OF ATTENTION. IT WAS INSTALLED COMPETENTLY. IT WORKS FINE. WE HAVEN'T HAD ANY PROBLEMS. I WASN'T HERE TO SEE THEM INSTALLING. I JUST SAW THE FINISHED WORK. Services Rendered: THEY INSTALLED A NEW GARAGE DOOR AND WHATEVER WORK WAS NECESSARY TO ACCOMMODATE IT TO OUR GARAGE.
