Google5My garage door spring broke and I called A1 they gave me an appointment for that same day which I was very pleased.Mario Taveras was my technician, he did an amazing job explaining every detail, from what happened and why it happened. He was very knowledgeable about his job and what he can do to fix the problem. He gave us different solutions and explained everything in such detailed leaving us with the choice of what we wanted. I highly recommend him to fix your garage door. Ask for him when you call.

Gabriel lubricated our garage door, tauch me to use a lubricated in the rollers of my garage door, the spring, and he was very helpful

Google4Had a broken TorqueMaster spring on our door that was less than five years old. Called A1 after hours at roughly 6 PM on a Friday night. Dispatch sent out a tech set to arrive between 6-8pm. Ruben showed up within that a lot of timeframe to do the repair. He was the best person we could have gotten to help us. I would definitely ask for him if needing something done in the future. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient in changing our spring system to torsion springs. The negative part of this review – the quote for replacing the spring system seemed very high. Depending on which spring you chose (based on usage and warranty), the price range quoted was $1600-$1900. This included travel charge, new shaft, springs, cables, drums, bearing plates installed. We also ended up with a “free” 1 year maintenance plan and surge protector on the garage motor. I see others claiming they got the same job done for half that price elsewhere. Definitely do your research on other companies.

Google5Ruben came by and did a fantastic job. Usually when a tech comes out they just briefly tells you what they’ll be doing. Not Ruben, he was very detailed and spent a lot of times explaining every single thing regarding what’s the issue with my garage door. I wasn’t even aware that if I put thin solar insulation on the garage door it will also affect the balancing of the garage door! Overall, Ruben did a fantastic Job and highly recommend Ruben and A1 garage service.

Google5Chad was INCREDIBLY knowledgeable, patient with all of my questions, and very thorough in maintaining my garage door. (I stayed to watch and learn everything). He gave me plenty of information so that I could choose the best service for my house. I never felt any pressure to buy anything I didn’t want and I happily purchased what I felt I needed to make my very old garage door a lot safer and refreshed. I highly recommend A1 and suggest you ask for Chad. It was slightly more than I expected to spend, but I’m thrilled with how much better my door works now and it was worth every penny.

Google5Chris Taffe calls at 7:15. Arrives at 8:15. Of course the problem mysteriously disappears when he arrives. Does a bit of testing. Says the sensors aren’t working … $353. Replaces them. Goes to show me that they work and the actual problem I’ve been explaining about how I have to keep manually lifting the door reappears. He goes to the truck gets a scale. Comes back the scale says the door I’m lifting is 89 lbs when garage doors should be less than 5 lbs. Explains this 8 foot door is a total of 345 lbs and says the springs need to be replaced. Here’s 3 options. I did some girl math and explained how I concluded to go with the most expensive lifetime warranty option. Option 1 $747. 2 year warranty. Option 2 $1200 something. 5 year warranty. Option 3 $1400 something. Lifetime warranty. There’s a pic of the options. Once I signed off on that he got on the ladder to start removing the springs and said if these pieces are good I’ll use them but if they aren’t I’ll ask you if you want to replace or reuse them. He takes off the rotators which are grinded out because of the tension the motor was being forced to pick up. He went to the truck … got new ones. Explained the difference. Asked what I wanted to do. Of course I bought the new ones. $2,200 later. The weight of the door is less than 1/2 a lb. 2 hours later within the time frame he was supposed to arrive he was here, educated me and let me choose, did the repairs on the spot and was gone. Sent an email with the inspection info. And lifetime warranty. Sent a text with a link to Google review (the link is broken but that’s super minor I can type it in) And was on his way to the next job. On time. Professional. Educational. Asked questions. Provided the service. Provided the details of the service. Asked for the review. THIS IS HOW YOUR BUSINESS SHOULD RUN. Smooth. Seamless & Simple Because of SYSTEMS!

Yelp1On May 25 Nick fixed my garage door. After he left and the door was lowered the outside panels were covered with some substance. After several calls and texts, I was told that they would be back after June 21. In spite of many attempts to reach him, I still have a mess on my door.
