Google5Jason really showed up for us! We had a pipe burst and damaged a lot of our floor and subfloor, right before the holidays. Jason was able to start work promptly, finish on time, and stayed within our budget. He explained every thing that needed to occur, updated me with photos, and couldn’t have been kinder during a period of stress for us. I’ll be having him back for our future planned projects!

Google5We hired Jason Allen to repair old wooden siding in coordination with a roof replacement project on our house. From the start Jason was responsive, very knowledgeable and patient with us as we worked through the details of the job. His recommendations for type of material, sequencing and coordination was very valuable. His crew worked efficiently, professionally and was extremely sensitive to working safely and limiting the disturbance during construction. I would definitely hire Jason again to do additional work.

Jason and his team were punctual, communicative, and incredibly detail-oriented. The quality of their work exceeded my expectations — everything was done with care and precision, with no corners cut. They handled everything from a new furnace and ductwork to new flooring, plumbing, new electrical and drywall — all completed flawlessly. What stood out most was their commitment to ensuring I was completely satisfied with the final result. They even went above and beyond to meet my tight 5-week deadline, offered helpful design suggestions, and managed unexpected issues with ease and efficiency. Google5We have had Jason and his crew on multiple projects on our property, all with fantastic results. The first was a 700 square foot ADU from bare ground through permitting, construction, and inspection, under challenging conditions during COVID. He helped us through design, permitting, dealing with subcontractors, and all other details for getting the project to completion. The work was done on-time, on-schedule, and on-budget, with results that we could not be happier with. He has been communicative, honest, budget-conscious, and works on the project with an attention to detail that shows care about their work and how things should be done, as if he was building it for himself. He is available, helpful, and has been a great resource for us understanding the home and other items of renovation that we have looked at moving forward. As a bonus, he's a nice and respectful guy. Since the completion of the home, we've had him contract a number of other projects, such as a bathroom plumbing addition and home plumbing upgrade, and a recent roof replacement on the other home on the property, and a number of other smaller items that he's been able to help with. He offers honest and helpful solutions, with no upsell or pressure, and delivers without any headache or complication. He is still my first call if I want advice or work performed. Could not recommend Portland ADU / Jason Allen more highly.

Google5My newest go-to general contractor ✊🏽. Jason and his crew renovated the living space and kitchen of our new home before we moved in… Resurfaced everything in the kitchen, new lighting everywhere, drywall/paint/trim fixes/remodeled. He even had a welder help design us a custom railing for our stairs. Also updated our shared bath. Fast, clean, and easy to communicate with. He’ll be back to do our ADU next year!

Google5Not only is Jason an incredible renovator, he is one of the clearest, kindest and most helpful people I have met. My bathroom and basement remodel was very challenging, and I was lucky to have Jason in my corner. Not only was he awesome with this project, anytime I have a question about other things about my property, he is always willing to field my questions and help solve problems. Jason is a true gem in the contracting world.

Google5Jason did an unbelievable job transforming our home, particularly in renovating our bathroom and kitchen. Throughout the process, he was a clear communicator timelines, next steps, and budget. He would often point out details that we would never have noticed, explaining the benefits, necessity, or drawbacks of each design choice. Remodeling our 1909 home came with a few surprises (as with most older homes), and his knowledge and quality craftsmanship really showed in how he adapted to each challenge. I would highly recommend using him as a general contractor for any of your projects in Portland.

Google5I am currently updating my 1920s home and I have dealt with my fair share of contractors along the way. It was such a relief to find Jason. He took the bare bones of my basement and converted it into a beautiful and functional living space (two bedrooms, utility closets, egress windows, new basement entry, plumbing, heated flooring, bathroom, stairs, etc). I love it so much that I moved my master bedroom to the basement! Jason is an artist by trade. He is remarkably creative and was so helpful along the way with design suggestions. The confidence he instilled helped me understand the future of the finished product. He is incredibly skilled in the complicated issues that come along with renovating a home. I appreciated that Jason was a solid communicator. He kept me in the loop about the construction schedule so I knew what progress was being made. He was willing to meet up and discuss budget along the way to make sure I felt comfortable with the projection of the remaining work. Jason and his skilled subcontractors (Ari, you are the best) were punctual and willing to walk me through the plan. People showing up when they say they will; there is so much value in that! Jason is passionate about his work. What I truly appreciate about Jason is that he was able to take my vision and turn it into a reality. My basement is better than I envisioned. I would absolutely work with Jason again.

Angi5Jason's suggestions were thoughtful and intelligent. He listened well and worked to create the environment we had in mind. He and his co-worker Dave were always professional, polite and their work of high caliber, Their attention to detail and impeccable service made working with them a pleasure. They considered the style and integrity of our home in all the work that they performed. They communicated well. I have done a number of remodel projects over the years and I highly recommend Jason and Dave. We have a kitchen remodel in planning and will absolutely choose them again. Services Rendered: This job entailed various aspects of carpentry work with a need for attention to detail. In the family room partial trim had to be matched and completed. Additional molding and trim throughout house was also completed. We asked Jason for ideas on window/wall configurations that were a bit unique. He made sound suggestions and we followed his advice with excellent results. He added cabinet doors in an existing linen closet. A new walk-in garage door was installed. A large plant shelf ledge was added as part of the molding in the sun room.
