Google5Had a bulkhead installed into the house for a good price. They completed it in 2 days and after a rain storm when the soil settled they came back out and filled it, in no problem! Greg was so helpful, responsive, and informative throughout the whole process. Highly recommend

Google5Right from the start, working with the folks at The Cellar Door Company was a pleasure. They were professional from beginning to end. Carolyn is friendly, efficient and always returned my calls immediately. Greg's expertise with products and installations proved invaluable. His assistance and guidance really helped in making the best decision for us and our situation. We discussed what options were available and best suited our needs and budget. We had an undesirable, complex problem - an old, collapsing bulkhead, hidden under a "trap door" of an old deck. We weren't sure if we should have a new bulkhead installed, in a different location, have an egress window, in a different location, (options which would allow us to have a deck without the bulkhead underneath) or replace the existing bulkhead and have a patio. The issue with the last approach is that there was a drop off after the deck was removed. Greg worked with our landscaper to install the new bulkhead such that the landscaper could backfill the area for the porch. Greg and Mike did an outstanding job removing our old bulkhead and installing a new one. They are skilled, meticulous and extremely polite. They treated our home like it was their own and the quality and care for my house was second to none Their concern and care for the customer really shows through in a true and genuine manner. They "go the extra mile". I highly recommend this company.

Google5The Cellar Door Company gave my superior service. They came out for the evaluation within a short time of my request. The man was thorough in evaluating the area. He asked my input on everything, being sure to write down his notes. I received an email shortly afterwards with the estimate. The door was special ordered and came exactly when they said it would. They were neat and tidy. Their work was detailed. They cleaned up after themselves. I would recommend them.

Google1I contacted Cellar Door Company in October 2019 because I was having water come into by basement through the bulkhead. I told them I thought it was coming in through the concrete. They came out and seemed very sure that a new bulkhead door would fix the problem and they just happened to have one left in that size that they could install right away. I figured they're the experts (my mistake!) so I agreed. Next big rain storm that came along, got more water in the basement so the beautiful new door I just paid for was no help at all. After a week or 2 I got them to come out again and they sealed the concrete. Next big rain storm that came along (tell me if you've heard this before) guess what? More water in the basement. So this time they said they would raise the doors by adding more cinder blocks. Oh but to do that they had to replace the stairs because they would no longer be up to code. Another $1700! By now it's January 2020. Well most of 2020 was a pretty dry year weather wise. With the lack of rain my basement stayed dry. Well until the first real heavy storm in November and the exact same old problems came back. I emailed the Cellar Door Company with pictures and a summary description and crickets. No answer. Same thing happened with the next big storm in December. Same no answer again when I emailed them. It's been over a year, I spent close to $5000 and I still have the same problems. Needless to say, avoid this company. Update: Interestingly enough I received a voicemail on 2/11/21, someone was following up (finally!!) on my December 2020 emails. They said since it was cold out they couldn't do anything. Not sure where they were when it wasn't cold out. But I'm still waiting for their follow up. Pretty unacceptable for someone to wait 2 months to follow up though.
