My garage door was installed unsafely. It was not balanced which makes it very heavy to open and dangerous as it could fall down the track at any moment and cause serious injury. Nationserve will not come fix it unless I pay a service fee. I will not pay a company to fix an issue that should have been completed during the installation. Terrible company. PLEASE find yourself a diffferent company to install or service your garage door. It’ll save you time, stress and most importantly money. Services Rendered: Garage Door Installation

I have nothing but good things to say about my interaction with Nationserve....their representatives are very polite, knowledgeable and professional......I called to ask for service to replace a two broken cable.....I talked with the lady answering phone and told her that the door was down and that I could not open it...she asked what the problem was and I told her that the cable was rusted and broken...she took all the information down to give to Service Manager...he was on phone with another customer at 10 Minutes to 4PM, just 10 minutes from closing...she said he would call back before 4PM or first thing next morning....Neil called first thing next morning....I explained my problem and he said they could take care of it and gave me a price of $110 for service call plus $22 for two cables....he scheduled the repairs for the next morning...the next morning Chris called to let me know what time he would be arriving...he arrived on time and proceeded to repair the broken cables....after installing the cables we were unable to get the doors to operate properly...motor was 28 years old and seemed to have a short or something to prevent it from working properly...Chris worked hard to get it working but to no avail...realizing that the motor was old (28 years) I asked Chris if I should replace the unit...after messing with it for a little longer, he agreed that the motor might be the problem...I asked him to replace the unit and he did....I am very pleased with the effort he made to keep th old motor running and am also pleased that I now have a new unit and will not have to worry about it for many years... New unit was $450 plus $22 for the cables....total cost $472.00....Very happy and very satisfied with my experience with Shantee, Neil and Chris.....Shatee called the day after service and asked me how things went and was everything ok.....I thanked her for her assistance and Neil's and Chris's as well......Great Company, Great Service and Great Representatives.... Services Rendered: Replaced cables and new motor....

The service went very well. My garage door was rendered nonoperational when the spring broke one evening with both our cars locked in. The drive release mechanism didnt work, probably because of the nature of the problem, and I doubt I would have been able to lift the door manually any way. When I made the call, the person on the other end was very professional, patient, and though we were only able to schedule the service for the following week (5 days away), he did tell me how I could lift the door using the motor and helping the door up manually. It worked, and we were able to take the kids to school, etc. That was our major concern. On the day of the service, the technician was on time, on the dot. He was done with the replacement of the spring in about 40 minutes. He also performed some maintenance by lubricating the hinges, the drive chain, etc and the door is the quietest I have ever experienced :) Nationserv were the people who originally installed the door, and that is the main reason I go back to them for service. But they have never given me a reason to consider anyone else. Services Rendered: Replace torsion spring on Garage door.

Great experience with both sales/ordering and installation. Salesman was *very* responsive and answered many questions and arranged for a quick installation date. The new doors look great and are so quiet compared to the old doors (which were hauled away as part of installation). It was a very easy transaction and we're very happy with the new doors and the friendly, professional service. Services Rendered: Replaced two garage doors and motors.

It was done fast and efficiently and all works great! Services Rendered: The bracket that holds the garage door to the opener had sheered off the door and my door opener was not operating correct even before that. They replaced the bracket with a new one, replaced the light beam sensor at the bottom of the door, checked everything and adjusted the door mechanisms and the door opener.

Recommend to others. It went perfect. the technician was on time, curteous, and professional. He completed the entire job in about 40 minutes and was well equipped with specialty torsion spring winding tools that saved a lot of time over manual methods. He explained about other potential future gear failure mechanisms and how to minimize their possibility and also told me how I could repair them myself. Very satisfied overall and would use them again and recommend them to others. Services Rendered: Replaced torsion spring assembly, lubricated, checked all safety mechanisms and adjustments

One of the springs broke in our garage door(Wayne Dalton). I decided to call a certified repair center to have it fixed. It was about 4:40pm when the door railed. I got in touch with an after hours repairman at about 5:30pm. He told me that the business hours labor charge for a repair visit was $110 but the after-hours labor charge was $175. I asked him if he had the time to repair it that day and he told me that he was very near to my location on a call and could be there in 10 minutes. He asked me what year the door was installed and whether it was a 2 car garage or a 1 car garage. It is a 2 car garage installed in 2004. He accurately diagnosed the problem as a broken spiring while on the phone with me. I told him that I would speak with my wife to see if she really needed to have it repaired that evening or if she could wait until the following week to get on the schedule (It was Thursday). I hung up, discussed it with my wafe and she decided that she wanted it fixed that night. I called back the repairman and told him that she would like it done that evening. He soon arrived, came in, looked at the door and said the he didn't have the part on him and he would have to come back another day to fix it and here is your bill for $175. He said I could call back the company service number and get on the schedule to have it fixed. Against better judgement, I paid the $175 for the after-hours visit and figured I would call the company the next day to discuss it. The repairman quoted me a price to fix the one spring with the after hours labor cost, telling me that this would be the cost even during regular business hours since an after hours visit was made. I called the company the next day and spoke with the person who answered the phone. He sounded very sympathetic to my case after listening to the above story. He said he would speak with the person authorized to make a decision on this and describe everything that I had told him. Soon, this other person picked up the phone. He told me that he didn't need to hear the story again, he had been completely filled in. He then said that they offer no assurance that the door will be fixed during an after-hours call and that the $175 fee would have to stand. He mentioned that the $175 fee would be applied to the labor for a business hours visit. He was not rude, just speaking matter of fact. He then asked me if I would like to be put on the schedule. I told him not at that time. He sounded a little suprised when I told him this, but I felt that for the repairman to come to our house after-hours, knowing the type of door, the problem and knowing he didn't have the parts to make the repair, they should charge me the $110 fee to fix the door during regular business hours. He also told me that we also received an extra service when the repairman helped me manually open the garage door. I had done this on my own in the past, so this sounded a little strange to me that it was noted as part of what I got for my $175 service fee. I decided to go with someone else. I contacted Ronnie of Powers Garage Door (919-528-4148). He came out to our house, was very friendly and helpful and detailed what was needed to properly repair the door springs and why. I googled the information he gave me and what I found completely agreed with what he told me. The springs are rated for 10,000 cycles on average which usually equates to 10 years of functionality. In our case, 9 years sounded like it exceded 10,000 cycles. Both springs will give out at about the same time(usually within a month). Wayne Dalton was recommending (and provided an estimate for) replacing one spring which would have resulted in another repair visit with another labor charge and additional parts costs since the two springs were not purchased together. I had Ronnie replace both springs at the same time. I am glad I decided to call a different repair service and write off the $175 that Wayne Dalton charged me, to get the job done right. Services Rendered: Charged me $175
