I would never, ever, ever, ever recommend them. I hired them on November 6th and I still don't have the work done. I contracted him to put in a new garage door and a new storm door in the front. At that time he made me a quote and he wanted $1800 and then another $1700 when the work was completed. When I talked to him he said it would be done by Thanksgiving. He called and said he couldn't come, he wasn't feeling well and then he was leaving for Thanksgiving. I didn't worry about all of that, I said, okay, okay. The next time, when he got back, he said he didn't feel good again. I said as long as it is before Christmas because I have company coming. I have a total of 16 times, 5 he set up an appointment and cancelled. 16 times he canceled. I told him on 12/22 that I wanted my deposit back and I would go somewhere else and he said no, he had already spent the money. They finally came in on 12/31 and put one door up. They were supposed to return on January 2nd to put the other door up. He came back up on January 12th to put the second door up and then said that he needed more money. I told him I would not do that because even when I owe him money he doesn't come up. If I paid in full I would never see him again. He said he would be back the next week to put the storm door in and I have not seen him again. I would not recommend him at all. Services Rendered: My last contact with Fred F Brown was in January. Went just as planned Services Rendered: Fred and his partner replaced the springs on the garage door and fixed all the other little issues it had due the blizzard. This also included replacing the door opener as it was damaged during the storm.

The doors are beautiful. It was not cheap, but it wasn't so exorbitant that we said "no way." The doors have key pads, and he did the whole thing. The only negative experience I had was with the Cape Verdean man who helped him with the installation, but I would use Fred again.
