Yelp1My garage door spring broke on Christmas Eve and normally I would request bids from at least 3 companies to fix the problem but I remembered seeing the ad of Precision Door with Gephardt approval and decided to take a chance. I contacted Precision Doors on Tuesday December 26th and was thrilled to get an appointment to fix my door that same day. They didn't give me a quote over the phone and told me that the technician would provide the quote once he could see the project. I met with the technician and he began an inspection of the door. He proceeded to quote me a standard spring replacement quote and a premium spring replacement quote. I was completely shocked at the prices of both quotes but because I needed the repair and the technician was standing right there I agreed to the pricing. However once I got back home I submitted bids to 3 other companies and found that I was over charged for all the parts and the labor. Precision quoted $300.00 dollars for each spring which didn't include labor. The other companies quoted between $175.00 per spring including labor to $ 200.00 including labor. I can't believe they would mark up the product that much. FYI you can buy the springs for $25 on the standard to $75 on the higher end and DIY it. In total I paid over thousand dollars for the repair. The nail in the coffin for me was once the work was done the technician tried to charge me for credit card processing fees. Talk about a nice Christmas present. Needless to say I am very disappointed with Mr Gephardt and upset about this egregious overcharge from a company that Gephardt highly valued. I wont be making any recommendations to anytime soon. In fact I plan to post this on every website I can find.

Yelp5Precision just replaced my garage double door. They did an excellent job with a great product. Walker was my installer and he was very thorough, meticulous and courteous. He explained everything I needed to know about the operation of my new door and was very knowledgeable. I highly recommend Precision!

Yelp5I was really impressed with my experience. Called on a snowy day in Salt Lake. And they were still able to get there within two hours and fix my door. Extremely knowledgeable and professional. Would highly recommend this company!!

Yelp5I am so, so happy that I called this company to fix my garage door. I had a neighbor try to fix it, and we made it worse than ever. It was hanging sideways, and wouldn't go up or down. Tony came out to fix it at 11:00 AT NIGHT, and fixed it in freezing temperatures. Thus, I was still able to get to my appointments in the morning ... AND I wasn't charged an extra fee for the inconvenience. In fact, the final bill was less than the quote! I cannot say enough good about Tony, and the great work and service that I received!!!
