Google5One of my garage door springs broke, so I called and scheduled a repair appointment for the next day. They came promptly and on time, with a nice courtesy call when they were on the way. They gave me their estimate of $120 per spring, which I got confused by and thought that was per side because there are two springs on the left and two springs on the right (I thought of them as a pair or set) and the last time I bought a spring myself I remember it being around $60. I agreed to the estimate terms and wanted to do both sides (replacing the old springs too) so they left with the broken spring to make sure they were getting a correct match. The actual repair took no time at all and together we also discovered that the up travel limit switch was broken. I will try fixing that on my own since parts are no longer available. I asked him the total thinking it was going to be around $320 and that was when I realized my misunderstanding and it was actually $120 per spring. I had just bought four of them, plus the install fee. I recognized that the misunderstanding was mine so I didn't make a fuss about it and paid them, but later I looked online and the springs are readily available at a local hardware store for $30.98. I think a 400% parts markup is ridiculous, so be warned. However, they also spent their time that morning determining the proper part and purchasing it and driving it back. Time is money and gas ain't cheap so I can't get too upset out it. I debated a four star rating, but everything is expensive these days and they need to eat and support their families too. Their representative was very nice and helpful throughout the entire experience so points for that too. If and when I need to replace the opener, I'll definitely be calling them back.

Google5Apex was great, they responded promptly and very professionally. They came on a Sunday because we couldn't close our door and were able to fix it right away and gave maintenance to the second door. I fully trusted the recommendation and repairs done as I was explained what was needed (which really made sense), after going through several garage repair companies that install the wrong parts I'm happy to finally find a reliable and honest company. I'll be happy to recommend them to friends and family

Google5Yehuda was able to come out first thing this morning to fix a broken garage door spring. I was so happy that he was able to come out on very short notice, and was able to replace both springs w/in an hour being careful that the door remained balanced. He also explained to me exactly what was done and what I need to do in the future to insure years of trouble free garage door operation. I'm so glad I had called Apex Garage Door Service and will definitely use them again whenever the need presents itself in the future. If you're in need of an honest, owner operated, fairly priced garage door service technician I'd highly recommend Yehuda of Apex Garage Doors, you won't be disappointed.

Google5Yahuda is great! He came out a few years ago and repaired our door. Now, the garage door opener failed. Came and and looked...offered a few options...set a date...he showed up as advertised and did a great job installing a new opener and accessories. He is professional, customer focused and offers a great service for a fair price. I highly recommend him and Apex!

Google5The level of service and responsiveness I received from Apex Garage Doors of San Diego was some of the best that I've seen in quite some time. Due to an accident, my old garage door was destroyed and there was an urgent need for help and assistance. Manager David was incredibly responsive and within 24 business hours my new garage door was installed and working well. I also have an older model car which needed special attention to enable the car's remote feature to work and the owner himself came out to insure proper installation and operation. I frankly could not be more pleased and have already recommended friends with service needs to Apex. And yes, they priced the job fairly for their work and time.

Google5I usually don't write reviews - but I am extremely pleased by the service received. My garage door motor was not working. Yuda did substantial effort to save it - but eventually we decided to replace it. I also wanted to replaced the door and Yuda was proactive and offered a higher installation with a side motor - which allowed my Tesla Y trunk door to fully open

Yelp5Answered the phone, set a time easily, and showed up when promised. Did the inspection, which pointed out that my middle door was about to fail (25-year old doors), so he replaced the rollers and serviced the doors. Excellent service, responsive, explained everything, and left the garage clean and neat. Friendly and professional, thanks for the easy fix.

Yelp5We have a damaged garage door that leaves an opening at the bottom. Enough for pests to squeeze through. Apex followed through quickly and submitted their quote. We have been busy and have not contracted the work yet, but enjoyed the honesty and fair price, and do not see the need to look for anyone else.
