Google1I recommend doing some research on parts. I went to A1 for box truck roll up door service. My springs broke, and my door was stock in the down position. They told me I only needed to replace springs and priced materials at $650. I scanned the QR code on my door and saw the springs listed at $65 apiece. I ended up replacing entire balance system, and the parts were about $275. When I asked why parts were so high, I could not get an answer or any consistency. At first I was told that their personal distributor gave them that price. The next time they said they went to the company website (same place QR code takes you), but I needed custom springs. When I asked why I needed custom springs, I was informed that no one was there at the moment to explain.

Google5Thank you Tammy for putting my mind at ease. You have ended my day better than it had started. I needed a little bit of empathy after the day I had yesterday. 🤗🤗🤗 (Had a really bad start of my day and had only gotten worse when being rudely treated by Olympus Gig Harbor Garage Door and Gate, who were a no show and was rudely hung up on 6 times after trying to get an ETA when they missed their appointed time. It was added stress that I did not need after having a horrible day. Calling them initially had cost me money because I had to miss work the following day. I cannot get to work when my vehicle is stuck in the garage...I am paid by appointments. If I miss appointments, bills do not get paid. By them getting paid by appointments, you would think they would try their best to keep clients or potential clients!) And, thank you Kyle for servicing my garage in such a quick manner. Will highly recommend you guys. Will be calling again, you can guarantee it!!! Thank you guys! ❤❤❤

Google1Two and a half years after they installed a new residential garage door opener motor, including the requisite safety sensors, the door suddenly wouldn't close using either the wall opener or a remote control. I soon discovered that the cause was a wire splice to an optical safety sensor that had failed. Upon removing the electrician’s tape at the wire splices (note, not wire nuts!), I observed that the two wires at one splice weren't twisted together at all. I subsequently redid both splices, capping them with proper wire nuts. The door closes fine now. The type of wire splice they use is amateurish, and was bound to fail. I am very dissatisfied. I won't use them in the future for any garage door work. Not recommended.

Yelp5This is the garage door company you should call if you need a repair! Our door broke on Thanksgiving and Gregg came out that day to get the door open so we could get our cars out. He came back on Monday and replaced the broken spring. Today, we had another issue - unrelated to the work done previously - and Gregg was able to come out within an hour of being called. We were having a stressful day and needed our cars and they re-arranged their work schedule to take care of our garage door issue. Their understanding, courtesy and professionalism is so refreshing and so rare; we are very thankful for their efforts. There may be other companies that are good but I know these people are great and should be your first call.

Yelp5AMAZING! My garage door cables backlashed while the door was open on a Saturday afternoon. Note I just purchased the home and moved in only six weeks ago. Being new-to-town from out-of-state, I am completely unfamiliar with the area, so I frantically searched Yelp for nearby garage service companies. A-1 was the ONLY one offering weekend service - gives them a leg up in my book. I left a voicemail and Cindy called me back within 15 minutes to tell me that she had a technician in the field who could be at my house within an hour. WOW! When he arrived (right on-time!) he took one look and had the door fixed, re-adjusted, oiled and lubricated within 20 minutes. He was incredibly friendly and helpful - Awesome service! Thank you!

Yelp5I called A-1 for a second opinion after a competitor provided a nearly $800 complete spring replacement estimate. Greg and Cindy provided flawless communication and Greg came out the very next day at 8:00 a.m. and tuned up my springs and removed the roller safety covers which were keeping the door from moving in the track as a courtesy. No replacement was needed! Greg was the ultimate professional and quickly fixed my door, saving me hundreds of dollars. It's hard to find service like this these days. I highly recommend A-1.

Yelp5This is the 3rd time we've hired this company to service or repair our garage doors. The last two times a tech named Kyle came out. He is friendly, very efficient and very informative. The last time he gave me detailed instructions on how to grease the door opener chains and other components to keep them running smoothly and give them a long life. This time he was here to replace both garage doors since I had smooshed one with the rear end of my car. Huge helpful hint: when backing the car out of the garage, make sure you check to make sure you didn't accidentally press the button on the remote to close the door. I unknowingly pressed it while futzing around with the in-dash CD player while backing the car out. The music was too loud to hear the door closing. Oops. But Kyle was out here quickly for the original estimate. We chose to use doors already in stock for the replacement otherwise it was going to be 6 weeks for new doors to arrive if we ordered them from their catalog. These are plain white T's doors without the fancy boxes in the original doors. That's why we ordered two doors so they would both match. Within a few days Kyle was back with the doors and installation only took a couple of hours or so. He also lubed the moving parts! And did I say the guy's really friendly. He also kept his face mask on all the time and he made sure he was standing on the ground several feet away from our front porch when talking to me. In the garage we both maintained social distancing. The cost of the work was very fair considering it was my Oops. This is a great company and I highly recommend them for garage door service and repair.

Yelp5My garage door fell off the track and was hanging precariously over my truck. A-1 came out on a Sunday and dismantled the garage door panel by panel. He secured the track back into the wall and reassembled the door very quickly and professionally and charged a reasonable price. Im very happy with their service.

We bought a new place in Port Orchard last year, with a very large barn that never go finished - it still needed two of the three roll-up doors installed. We called and talked to Amy, and worked out a great deal on a couple doors they had in stock that were left over from another order - and happened to meet our needs perfectly. We got a really good price, and excellent service from Amy and the office staff. Installation was today and it went off without a single hitch - we LOVE the doors, and they perfectly fit the need. Ted was our installer, and he was spot-on as was his assistant Greg. They both did a tremendous job, cleaned up after the installation, and were very pleasant to deal with. Yelp2Called them to replace garage door springs . They came and replaced the springs but they didn't do the job right the first time I had to call them again to fix the issue (springs not seating properly causing the door to not go down right away). The tech was great and friendly. But the whole time lady over the phone wasn't pleasant, she sounded bothered everytime and she would keep saying the issue I had had nothing to do with the springs they installed even though it clearly was. She said she would call me before the tech come and she never did.

Angi5Our springs on the garage door broke, and this company replaced them the same day. Other companies weren't available until the next week (it was a Friday). He was quick, kind, and very helpful. The service man showed us how to oil the springs every six months. Also, we had a $20 coupon. Services Rendered: Replaced springs on garage door.

Angi5The guy said he was going to be a little late because of an emergency. Cindy actually called me ahead of time to let me know that he was going to be a little late but he did show up within a reasonable amount of time. I thought that was really great that they took the time to call me to let me know. The guy took about 30 minutes. He did everything very well, cleaned up after everything. He even answered all of my questions and was very professional and very helpful. The price was exactly how they quoted. They were very professional and had great customer service! I was very happy with the experience and will definitely use them again in the future and will recommend them to others. :) Services Rendered: It was for tightening screws, spraying rollers and checking the springs and tracks on two regular sized garage doors and one R/V sized garage door.
