Review from Heidi L.
Yelp1One star is the lowest rating possible or I would have rated lower. I contacted Dawn at a very stressful moment in our life on the advice of our realtor. I've already spoken with the realtor to warn her against future referrals. I will leave the emotions of this disaster out and stick to the facts I wish I had known and the discussions I wish I had known to have. No address or website or corresponding email on the biz card was my first red flag. The second red flag was that I was the only one writing anything as they conducted the estimate. Because of a death we had decided to leave our lives behind to be sold and start life anew with, among other things, 50% of the proceeds from the sale of our 25 years of life. The numbers discussed were in the 5 digits. Based on these conversations I left behind high end clothing as well as all of the pieces of my resale business including fixtures and furniture. One of the items listed on the advertisement was my Prada purse. Dawn told me not to sell or donate anything because she will sell everything "including half empty catsup bottles" she said. We sold my truck to her partner for the price of a tank of gas. We made arrangements to move three states away after discussing details and making arrangements with a number of people and companies to ensure our sold house was prepared for the new owner. We paid dearly to ensure this was the case. Despite a number of calls there was never a sense that they were complete. The day they were to forward proceeds came and left with no call. I have details of the discussions at the estimate that they have no memory of, and any money that I would have made has been kept apparently under the guise of additional fees. There are so many more emotional details I could add about how I feel now that someone has not completed what I hired them for (all other companies did) and they have kept ALL proceeds from the sale of EVERYTHING I owned two months ago. Bottom line: I strongly urge you to consider donating everything you want them to sell so you can at least claim it on your taxes instead of them.
