If I could give them a zero, I would. We had them replace our garage spring. A few years later, they had to come back out and replace it again. They tried to not honor the warranty, but they eventually did. But they still charged us labor. I believe the first time we utilized them was in 2019. We had them back out in Feb. 2022. Fast forward to October 2022. Spring is still fine, but the bracket holding the rod up came out of the wall, and that messed up the cord that brings the door up and down. We call a company that comes out the same day. Come to find out, the previous company, the one Im writing this review about, installed the wrong spring. I believe the technician said they put up a spring with reverse torque. Something like that. Anyways, $600+ dollars later, our door is working perfectly. Unless you like shelling out money every few years, with obvious shoddy and unknowledgeable workmanship, do not use this company. They were doing business under the name Garage Door ************************************************

Avoid them like the plague!Garage door would sometimes come down a short way, then go up again.Technician said I needed a new motherboard and sensors--$671.00, paid by check only--"the card reader isn't working." Check was cashed immediately.Problem recurred a week later. I have called them now five times--no response! The answering service takes the messages, but that's all.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY: We called to have the spring on our garage door repaired. The quote was $800 total. The job took less than 1 hour and AFTER it was finished, we were told it would be $1359.00. The tech never had a reason for the price increase and this was total price gouging. We called to complain to the company but they only said "Yes, that is the way it goes sometimes..." - We were totally ripped off with them charging $200 per spring and on Amazon you can get the exact same springs - a 2 pack for $100 (we found out later). // Our suggestion to you is DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - they are a TOTAL RIP-OFF.

I called a company called "Garage Door ************************************************ and was sent someone from "Fix & Go Garage Door Service & Repair". The tech showed up and gave me a quote for my garage door and said the parts would like 5-6 weeks to come in but had an alternate solution that he could come and fix the next day. This required a down payment of $485, which they said they would cash after they completed the service. I told the tech I would reserve him but since this was my first time with garage door issues that I would do some research the same day and if I found someone who could fix my door with the springs I needed vs his alternate solution I would go with the other company instead. He said no problem, go ahead and do my research and let me know what I would like to do.I ended up finding a company that had the springs that I needed so I reserved them and called the Garage Door Service and Repair company and told them I needed to cancel and to not cash the check I wrote for $485. They agreed and said a tech would call me to confirm. The tech never called me. I called them back again to double confirm my appointment was cancelled and they confirmed again. I then texted the tech who had been at my house at the same number they used to confirm my appointment. I also left a voicemail at this number and no response. A week goes by and they then cash my check. I called the Garage Door *********************************************** company and they told me again a tech would be in touch immediately. They never called me. I texted the tech again a few times and got no response. I left 2 voicemails and called back a third time which he answered and then hung up on me. I texted again and called again only to see that they blocked my number. After reading reviews on Yelp, I see that this company is a scam. They had me make the check out to "Fix A Go" instead of "Fix & Go". If you ****** search on "Fix A Go" you don't find anything, if you search on "Garage Door ************************************************ you find positive reviews, but it turns out they are just the scheduling call center for the actual company which is called "Fix & Go" If you ****** search or Yelp this company there are horrible reviews. They use Fix A go for payment purposes because the bank will still cash checks for them. The invoice also does not say Fix A Go or Fix & Go, but that is who you are doing business with. This is a fraudulent company, and nothing but a scam. Do not use this company. Do your research first, or take my word for it. If a Fix A go employee shows up at your house send that person away. They are a bottom of the barrel loser of a company and can not be trusted.

I called a company named Murphy’s Garage Door in Mill Creek and the person who came out that evening gave me an estimate from Garage Door Service and Repair. He did work for $1100 which I later found out should have been charged at around $500. He refused to take a credit card and demanded only cash or a check. I later had to pay an additional $150 to another company to repair the mistake they had made on my door repair. I refuse to have them come back ever again. They also had me write a check to Fix A Go although I have nothing identifying the tech Nati as being from that company. I am very angry and should’ve done my research first, but when your garage door won’t open, you would like to get it fixed quickly. At least they did that. I would be very wary of this group. Had I done my research, I would’ve found out that they have an F rating with the Better Business Bureau and six on answered complaints. I think they are a bunch of scammers.

I called and asked for a garage door safety check/tune up. One door closed hard and I wanted the springs checked and adjusted, the rollers lubricated, and the door checked for the proper tension. Telephone estimate was $125. Tech arrived on time and would only sell me springs and installation. He would not check the doors weight or balance, only saying the springs could break at any moment and they should be replaced. I called the name Jason Garage Door Repair and the bill ($75 just to come out and "look" at the doors and try to sell me springs - he never checked their movement) said Garage Door Service and Repair.

Careful - could be bad if you don't ask the right question. Bad experience - but I think there's two different companies at play here - Dalton and Fix & Go. My understanding is Dalton contracts out to local folk. And Dalton, I called to report my experience and they seemed very receptive and apologized profusely. So I think they may be pretty good and just had a bad apple in the mix. But given that I got the end contractor through this review, I have to leave a rating for that experience. The TLDR - they overcharged (by double), gave me subpar results, lied to me in multiple ways, and resorted to profanity and insults over discussion. Details: I called and got quoted $39 starting fee, likely $99 for work, and $50-$150 for the broken spring I needed fixing. Tech showed up, seemed nice but was on his phone headset while he worked. He pointed out that both springs needed replacing (not just the one) since the second would likely go very soon (which I very much agree with). He was also quick (mostly a good thing). However, the invoice came at the end at it was $150 labor, and listed 2 springs at $150 each. So he maxed out the range. I also noticed that the invoice didn't have the company name printed on it and he wrote out "Fix A Go" to make the check out to. Seemed high and a bit off but not so much so that I pushed back. I also couldn't find any reviews in a quick search, figured I was getting higher end springs. Afterwords I noticed new springs were 30% smaller than the old ones (which he left lying on my floor ). I asked and he assured me they were high quality. I measured after he left and did some research to find that basically a spring is a spring is a spring when it comes to material (generally speaking) and for that the same material (which I got) the wire size, spring diameter, and length would tell me all I needed to know. I plugged in the numbers and realized I had springs with 20% less lift power than the last ones *and* the new ones to support the weight had been turned to the max limit for safety (so I assume they'll break much sooner than later). I called the number on the invoice (different than Dalton) and got someone who started explaining I got "Diamond Garage Door Springs" which are *much* better. I looked them up, and indeed, they apparently make amazing springs, but they start at $500 per spring, and have clear markings on them so you know that you have them... what I had was not that. Called number again and was told "no, they aren't Diamond, but they come from the same factory".... to which Diamond's owner told me, there is no such thing and started gathering info so they could sue. I also found reviews for the same number for "Fix & Go" - that were horrible and got an F from the BBB (I figure the guy wrote "Fix A Go" so I couldn't find the review, but it was close enough that the bank would still cash it. So I did a stop payment on my check till I got this sorted out. Today, installer called me after check failed. He got mad at me that I didn't call him directly (I pointed out I tried to reach him through number on invoice and the call center). I told him I was just concerned, would like some info so I could research, and then if all checked out, I'd pay him full amount. He said he didn't want the full amount, I could pay less, he just wanted to feel good about the job. So he gave me the info, I verified everything and found that from 6 different sites the price of a pair of springs was max $80, not $300. I wrote him back, suggested I still pay him same service fee (which seemed high), but just $100 instead of $300 for parts (and said unless he could explain how they were different than what I was finding) and the appropriate tax. He told me that was fine and I sent the venmo. Thought that was the end... till I started getting venmo's back for a few cents that were laced with profanity. His lack of interest in discussing followed by this just confirms their sleezy business ways. Stay clear!
