Google5I had an exceptional experience with Instant Garage Door. One of the springs on my double‑car garage door snapped, leaving the door completely stuck. I called several companies, and not one of them would give me even a rough estimate over the phone. Instant Garage Door was different from the start. When they called, I explained the situation, and they immediately provided a reasonable estimate and dispatched a technician. His name was Sheffee, and he was outstanding. He arrived on time, was professional, respectful, and clearly skilled. Not only did he replace the broken spring, but he also repaired another garage door that had a cracked support — all at a very fair price. This all happened on Christmas Eve, and despite the holiday, the service was fast, honest, and incredibly helpful. I can’t thank Instant Garage Door enough for a job well done. If you need garage door repairs, this is the company to call. Highly recommended.

Google5Well, I had lost WiFi connectivity between garage opener and app on my phone. After trying to fix it myself, I made it worst. The garage door would not open using wall control or from the vehicle remote control. The door would not stay closed. While lifting the door manually the spring tendon loosened and the sensors became misaligned. To my rescue, out came Sheffi within 5 hours after I called for an appointment. Blessed. I got same day service! He reprogrammed my remote controls, align sensors, tighten the door’s spring and reset my exterior panel. Very polite. Great customer service. And helpful due to my limited mobility. Thanks!

Google5Had a scary experience where cable broke on my 1000lbs door, bent rail etc. Grant gave me an extremely confident walkthrough of the needed work, even replaced the other cable and fixed a host of other issues with my installation. All for a super reasonable price. Throughout he described all the work, gave recommendations for maintenance and long-term improvements. We are so thankful for the professionalism and the outcome has the door working even better than before.

Needed someone to come out same day, and I gave Instant Garage Door Repair a call in the afternoon, and they had Sheffi come out within 30 minutes. He was thorough in explaining my options, what he was going to do for the repair, and how much everything would cost. After we agreed to proceed, he was incredibly fast at getting things working and was even able to replace our garage door opener upon my request. He stayed around to answer questions and to ensure everything was working to my satisfaction. Great, fast service. Really appreciate it!

He was communicative, on-time, friendly and did a good job fixing my garage door and explaining what the issue was. He even did a couple of things “free” (without me asking him) to made my (21yrs old & damaged) garage door runs more smoothly. His pricing was transparent and fair. Google5Highly recommend. Our garage door was severely damaged and we could not get our car out of it. Isaac was able to come out the day we called and give us a quote. We asked if he could help get the car out of the garage and he totally went above and beyond and took time to get it manually open (and closed again) even though it probably wasn't the safest choice to do. Isaac explained our door options clearly (ours wasn't a standard door). I took a day to decide and then they were able to come out to replace the door 2 days later. Juan arrived on time, installed it quickly, and left the area clean. The office ladies were also easy to work with.

Yelp5My Genie garage door opener stopped working because the carriage got worn out due to the door not being balanced. My springs were just replaced 2 years ago with another 5-star garage door repair company, and my opener was just a little over an year old. I was pretty frustrated for how short-lived the system was. After contacting 5-6 companies with 3 visiting to give estimates, I found Issac to be the most trustworthy with the most reasonable price. Issac provided several options for repair, and was able to explain the issue clearly with domain knowledge. In the end, I gave Issac the project, and he did a superb job at fixing my existing springs. I also decided to give him a bigger project to replace my garage door entirely as it was getting old, and it's hard to come by a trustworthy person. The replacement didn't disappoint, and Issac saw to the last details to make sure the garage door is working well. I'd highly recommend Issac and his team to others!

Issac called when he finished his last job to provided me with an estimated arrival time. He was professional, informative, patiently explained mechanics and answered my questions. He also added lubricant and cleaned up working space. The price was reasonable. I am very happy with the service and will definitely recommend to my friends!

Yelp5Wow! Another great service experience with IGD! Unbeknownst to me, the trolley handle "teeth" on my 15-year-old garage door opener were on their last legs. A couple weeks after a routine service from IGD, they went from a grinding noise to a total fail in 24hrs. (The lubricant applied during service actually hastened their failure.) My frantic call to IGD was responded to immediately and even though they were actually booked up for service calls for the next few weeks, the owner, Isaac, came out personally to address the problem! I trust IGD totally, so I left the garage door up since I had to be at the office, and communicated with Isaac via phone and text/pictures as he did the diagnostic work. Isaac, as usual, was VERY thorough and patient in his explanations and gave me options for a remedy. He ended up having to drive some distance to find the replacement part - but he did so and within 24 hrs. my door was fixed and running smoothly and quietly. IGD makes you feel extremely appreciated as a customer and they will go the extra distance to fix your problems. I highly recommend!

Yelp5I contacted Instant Garage Door Repair (IGD) last week when the cables of one of my garage doors came off their drums (end pulleys) and my garage door was stuck open on a cold day in Sammamish, WA. They were very busy at the time and they would not be able to get to me for a week, but since I had gotten the door closed, I decided it would be worth the wait based on their excellent reviews on Yelp. It was well worth my wait. as IGD was My IGD technician was Grant who is reasonably priced, good to work with and does great work! Note: More background if you are interested. IGD is a small family owned company in Renton, WA about 30 minutes south of my home. They currently have two technicians (Grant and Isaac) who are both excellent technicians from the reviews I have read about IGD. I had previously used a similar small family owned company in the past 30 years that also did good work at a reasonable price. But my old company apparently went out of business and/or were bought by another larger company over the past few years who were in my opinion no longer reasonably priced. In fact, that larger company had charged (actually over-charged) me more than $1,800 to replace some broken/worn parts back in July of 2023 on another of my three garage doors. That as much as it would cost me to have the whole door replaced with a new well-insulated door! Since they had not given me a cost breakdown, afterwards I on-line priced the average cost of the parts that they had replaced and this is what I found: Torsion Spring ($65), 8 ft Torque Tube ($40), cables ($10/pair), drums ($15/pair), End-Plate Bearings & Brackets ($20/pair), new sealed nylon track rollers ($30/set of 12). So I could order the parts on-line and have them delivered for about $200. Assuming that they charge a 50% mark-up for acquiring the parts, that brings the total cost of the parts to $300 which is still reasonable in my opinion. But what wasn't reasonable with my last garage door company was that it appeared that they charged me about $1500 for labor for less than about 2 hours work! A fair price for that labor (taking into account their travel costs) would have been $500. For my latest garage door repair today with IGD, the torsion spring was replaced just 2 years ago so it was still good. What Grant suspected (and found to be true) was that the End-Plate Support Bearings (that support the 8 ft torsion spring torque tube) had failed as they had not been replaced 2 years ago when the spring had been replaced by my old company. Grant inspected the 8 ft torque tube, cables and drums which are 30 years old but still in good condition, so no need for replacement. But he found that the track rollers were still the old non-sealed metal rollers that should have been replaced years ago. So he replaced them with high quality double sealed quiet nylon rollers, along with new End-Plate Support Bearings/Brackets. The work took just about an hour and the final bill was just over $500 including tax and labor which I feel is a fair price. So I highly recommend IGD and I will definitely be using them again for my annual suggested maintenance and/or any other future work that needs to be done on my garage doors!! After arriving, he saw the broken spring on our old garage door, he gave us options, clearly and concisely. He knows what he's doing. He was very easy to work with. He was finished fixing it in about 30 minutes. The service was excellent. The price was very affordable and now our garage door glides up and down smoother than ever. Yelp5Contacted Tuesday night. They replied within minutes and we scheduled a window Thursday. On Weds they called and asked if they could come early. They came, saw, and fixed my garage door spring. My neighbor walked by and asked what was going on and IGD looked at his and his spring was broken too! The serviceman Grant was super cool and professional and nice and got it all replaced, working, and lubricated. Do recommend.

He tried everything to fix at the lowest cost possible and when it turned out it was not fixable did not charge for trying. He figured out a way to minimize the work needed to be done on the door itself. He installed a well tuned up new system that is quiet. Isacc, the company owner, visited and inspected the old slab style doors and left a brochure and estimate for the work to be done. After getting other companies bids we negotiated a price and scheduled the work. Angi5Grant came out a few days after my initial call to the company to fix my door. He did some roller replacements and pulley replacements and then aligned the door and it worked much better. About a week later the door started violently swaying from side to side while lowering it, and I felt it very unsafe. I called IGD and Isaac came out to access the situation promptly. He explained what the problem was, fixed it in about an hour and didn't charge me for parts or labor. I was ready to pay for the additional time and labor for the 2nd trip to my house, but he was too kind and refused. Isaac is a professional and interesting to talk to.. Angi5A very pleasant experience from beginning to end. My call was answered right away and in just a couple of minutes I had an estimate and a two hour appointment window for the following morning. Isaac arrived on time, quickly assessed the door problem, and explained what needed to be done. Even though my door was an old design and very heavy he had the required springs in his truck. 45 minutes later the work was done and Isaac showed me the door was perfectly balanced and operated the door to demonstrate proper operation. The other nice thing was we called them around 6pm on a Tuesday evening they got on the repair work the next morning at 10AM. That's exceptional service.
