Although I had more affordable options, I chose to work with Mike based on his overall positive reviews on Angie's list; his good responsiveness to my initial call for an estimate and excellent responsiveness to subsequent clarification communications; the professionalism of his evaluation of the scope of work and communication of both known scope and potential unforeseen conditions; and his willingness and ability to add my project into his already busy schedule within a timeline that worked for my overall needs. He was punctual in arriving to perform the work on the agreed date, and completed the scope within one day as estimated. What I can see of the work appears professional and of good quality - including minimal disruption to the exterior siding and salvage of the cedar shingles that were displaced. Mike was one of the best communicators in his profession (at least of those whom I've worked with), and I very much appreciated his responsiveness and clarity during the process of confirming scope; agreeing on pricing; and finalizing a schedule. I originally asked Mike to also provide pricing for drywall installation in the garage, but in reviewing his already busy schedule, he was honest and up front about not being able to complete those services within my preferred timelines, which I very much appreciate. Services Rendered: Repaired rot of structural framing around garage door, including: removed garage door; replaced header; splice-repaired and replaced adjacent 2x4s; replaced studs and base; and constructed temporary security barrier in place of door (I'm having a new door installed in a few weeks).
