Yelp4Fast-forward one year... I noticed about a month after the spring replacement by the Door Works (aka Garage Door Works?) that the garage door wasn't opening completely. It didn't matter until a few months ago when we purchased a vehicle that needed all the clearance to fit into the garage. The appointment setters at the Door Works worked hard to fit my schedule and get a technician here to fix this small issue that is actually quite important now. They were patient with me as I called numerous time to ask if the tech was still coming and then - after the 5 minute fix - why he was preparing an invoice for something that should have been part of last year's service call. From this customer's perspective, they were the ones 'running the show' and were very, very good about standing behind the Door Works' name and reputation and making things right for me. Thank you Door Works Customer Service Representatives! You all are doing a wonderful job as the first point of contact for the Door Works! My car fits in the garage now!!! ;-)

Yelp5It started with Marci when I called about replacing my 27 year old Lift Master. She was extremely knowledgeable about the products and was very pleasant. I was quoted a very reasonable price and the repair was scheduled quickly. Josh showed up the do the repair and he was extremely professional and went about his business quickly and thoroughly. He replaced parts that needed to be replaced on the door and did it at no charge because he had a part from a previous job. He serviced the door and re-programmed the keypad and the homelink in my car. I couldn't be happier with the job. I will call Ric's for all my future business. Good job guys!!!!!

Yelp5Fantastic service, beyond all expectations. The installed my garage door and, for a long time, all was well. Then, it required a little help and they were quick to come out and see that it got fixed the right way. Some time later, one of the components went "bad" and it needed service. They showed up exactly when they said they would, diagnosed the issue immediately, explained what needed to be done, and did it in record time. You cannot go wrong with these guys.

Yelp5Ric came right at the time promised, quickly fixed the issue, then proceeded to make some other adjustments that will extend the life of the garage-door hardware. (The cynic in me thinks the incentive would be to let it slide so he'd have to come back sooner.) All this for a price so low that I won't quote it so as not to set expectations too low. This is the second time that Ric has performed garage-door service for us, and we were delighted both times. I rarely write reviews, but felt compelled to do so this time because Ric's service ethic is so strong I wanted to make sure others would learn from my experience.

Yelp5These guys are amazing !!! We had our garage door fail to open the other day and we were able to book a technician from Ric's to come the next day and help us out. It turned out the spring just wore down and broke (our old system was around 14 years old from the previous owners and reached it's lifespan). Noel was our installer and he was very polite and explained clearly the situation and what are my options. Once I agreed to replace the spring mechanism and get a new motor better aligned to the size/weight of our double garage door, Noel just got to work and installed everything flawlessly and in short time. He then gave me a full rundown of the new system and setup. I am really happy with the quality of work and service from Noel and Ric's as a whole and definitely recommend using them for any issues you might have with you garage door system.

Yelp5I was apprehensive when calling them due to a bad experience with another garage company. Scheduling was a breeze and they clearly informed me that the garage opener I had was no longer repairable. I had confirmed the same with others as well. They scheduled a time in a week and they called me to confirm that day they were coming. Noel was the tech and what a silent and awesome approach he had. He was professional and he did not even drop a nail on the floor. He was so attentive in picking up all the scraps and dogged for 3 hours nonstop to fix two garage openers. They did not try to sell me anything considering that I had a pretty old setup. Now I asked the tech why the door was squeaking and he advised me to change bearings if I needed. No pressure. He changed that and my door was working perfectly. He also told me to not sorry about the door and they would cover the warranty. Great experience and I would certainly hire them again in a heartbeat.

Yelp5Unbelievable service! I had purchased a new home with an old unit. Long story but I needed emergency service. Somehow they squeezed me in. Noel was my repair man and he was friendly and tenacious. Nothing that should have worked did work. He was not giving up. After trying just about everything, he had an idea and tried something not on the keypad directions and it worked! Terrific service at a great price.

Yelp5I was having some issues with my garage door and called another company to do the repair. When the arrived they inspected the door and said that the previous company (Ric's) had installed the wrong spring and that upon further inspection I neede new bearings, too. Upon completion I called Ric's to request a refund for having installed the wrong spring (1-1/2 years ago). Ric called me back and asked if he could inspect the door. Upon arrival Ric reviewed the work that had been done earlier that day and informed me that the other company had not changed out the spring (Ric's was the proper one as originally installed) and that they had not put new bearings in. He was good enough to take the time to disassemble the spring to show me the old bearings were still installed and that the spring on the door was not even the one listed on the invoice. As a result of Ric's timely response, the time he took with me, and the patience he showed, I was able to cancel the payment to the company that tried to rip me off and save $500. In addition, he took the time to tune up my door at no charge. I would highly recommend Ric's for both the quality of their work and their commitment to their customers.

Yelp5Super Happy with their service. Noel was the service person who showed up. Super nice guy! explained in detail what he was doing and did not mind me sticking around watching him do it. At no time I felt he was short cutting the installation. I got a Liftmaster 8550W garage door opener , super quiet with bunch of features & I am very happy with it so far. No hidden fees. Final bill exactly what I was quoted on the phone. I will be recommending Ric's to all my friends and neighbors. Ask for Noel.
