Yelp1If you want good service dont not use this company, They were to insall my door never called me never showed up. I called them over 12 times and just get the run around. Then to cancel my order took me two hours. This place is a joke. WARNING DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE.

Yelp1DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! The installer quoted me one price, then after installing those doors (very badly), he charged me more than $1000 more than quoted. When I complained about that price and the poor installation, he berated me no threatened to take the doors off and leave me with no doors at all. When I called the main office to complain, the manager refused to speak with me at all or come to any understanding. Instead, the installer called to yell at me again! Now, although I was coerced into paying their ripoff price, they have filed a lien! I have never been treated worse. Do not deal with these people.

Yelp1These people are awful! They never showed up when I made an appointment a week in advance, and when I called to double check the appointment woman who answered was sooooooo rude!!!! She blamed the mistake on me and didn't even ask or offer to send another technician out or reschedule the appointment. When I called back and asked to talk to the manager - she said that they weren't interested and hung up on me! She was so condescending and awful. There are many options out there so I promptly called another company who sent someone out ASAP. Avoid these jerks at all costs!!!

Yelp1Dropping the rating due to the DistribuDoors visit (which I wrote a review about). They discovered that Seattle Garage Doors put insufficient springs on the door, causing it to stress the opener. Additionally they overcharged by a wide margin (which I noted in the original review). I'm thinking their scam is this: - You have a problem with your garage, likely not a major one. You call Seattle Garage Doors. - They come out and assess, and determine you need something. So they offer it - at a ripoff price. - What they offer is specifically insufficient, so that it'll go out again and you'll end up calling them again, and subsequently paying them again. Nice racket.

Yelp1Seattle Garage Doors in my experience is a fly by night company starting with their phone number being answered by a woman who says "hello". It was all down hill from there. A technician (so called) arrived at my house in a white van with no name printed on it. He was a young foreign man who climbed up on the rafter in my garage to fix my garage door opener. He messed and messed with the computer in the opener, two or three times causing the door to drop like a lead weight. He then came down asking my for the remote and saying to me and I quote "your opener is fucked". After an hour and twenty minutes he said the door was fixed, wrote a bill for $129.00, no company name on the receipt and no break down of any kind and no tax. I started to write a check and was then informed they don't take checks, only cash or credit card. When I said I didn't have either he told me to make the check to his name. By the way he went straight to Wells Fargo where he cashed the check within five minutes of leaving my home. The next day the door wouldn't go all the way up so I called again. Once again I got "hello", I asked to speak to the owner of the company, once again a foreigner answered, I asked if his company had a name and a business license to which he answered yes. I told him the door wasn't yet fixed, he promised to have a different technician here at 10:00 the next morning. No one ever showed up but I did receive another call from another foreign voice saying he would come out between 3:00 and 5:00 telling me I would have to pay. I told him I would not pay a cent, he never showed up. My door goes up enough to allow the car under it but I have to duck my head when going under. There is something very wrong with this company, I would not recommend it to any one!

Yelp1I called to have Seattle Garage Door 206-445-7835 come out and make a repair to my mom's garage door. I called them at 2pm and they had a technician call back right away. That technician sounded nice and said he would be out between 4-5pm. I was told it would a be minimum $29 service call and then repair cost on top of that. I agreed to that and the appointment was set. At 5:03pm, I called the technician and he said that he was on another job and that he would be 45minutes to 1hour. I thanked him and told him that we would be waiting. At 7:08pm the technician was still had not shown up so I called him directly again. He said that another technician was supposed to have been sent and then he seemed to say that he thought the appointment was cancelled. I told him that I was disappointment with this and that we had a very clear connection about both missed appointments. I also told him that I was going to call the main number and cancel the appointment and let them know my frustration. ** This is where the story gets weird I called the main number 206-445-7835 and told the man that I was talking to my frustration. He told me that the appointment was cancelled because I would not agree to pay the service call. I told him that was not in any way accurate and that I/we had waited for over 3hours for someone to come to the appointments. He then proceeded to yell and me telling me that: "No one came to you house because you are a CHEAP MOTHER F***ER." He then hung up on my. I called back and he repeated the same offensive line. I was shocked and hope that no one else gets this same level of service and verbal abuse that I received!!

Yelp1**WARNING** Stay away from this company!! They did get the garage door back on the track, but screwed up the automatic motor and damaged the drywall framing the door. The person they sent out to fix the door came to this country 3 weeks earlier to learn how to fix garage doors... They refuse to send a professional who can get the job done and won't honor their satisfaction guarantee and give us our money back. What a nightmare! We are considering legal action.

Yelp1I agree with the other review. The guy was late & very unprofessional. He called me first to ask what's the issue & told him that it's the garage door cable for I-Drive Pro. Showed up with a unmarked van & I was cancelling my appoinment when I get a call from the guy, he said he's on his way. After more 3 hours late, he showed up & looked at the garage door & said he can't repair. He suggested to replace the whole thing, gave me verbal quote, $500-$600. He talked very unproffesional thats why I said I'll think about it and I don't want to waste anymore time listening to his B.S. He charge me for service call $29. Receipt no company name & I asked him to put the company name, (24/7 Garage Door Repair) which is totally not on the website. Website is http://seattlegaragedoors.com. Tel# 206.445.7835, 800-347-0182 Address on the website is 201 Yesler Way, Seattle, WA 98104 I used to check for reviews before I call for service but since I need it urgent didn't bother to check Yelp. Wasted my time & bad experience. I wonder if the company cares about the review, their reputation or they just want to rip-off their customer? I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!

Yelp1Sadly, I have to agree with the other reviewers (except the guys who did the service were really nice and not at all abusive). After 15+ years, my old reliable Sears garage door opener unexpectedly went on the blink and needed to be replaced. Desperate not to have to manually open/close my garage door in the impending foul weather (poor me!), I contacted Seattle Garage Doors...I too got lured in by their spiffy website. They didn't make it out the first day, as promised, and they missed the appointment time that I had scheduled for the second day, but they did eventually show up. Turns out I ended up paying $450 (that's their "discounted" price) for a $170 garage door opener, plus labor (which I didn't think was too bad), plus I had to pay an additional $50 for a 2nd remote, which should have come with the opener in the first place. Even though the guys who did the installation were very nice, I would not recommend this company. My recommendation would be to go to Sears...they often have sales on openers, and installation specials, plus you get points if you belong to their loyalty program :-) Or, I'd suggest purchasing a garage door opener online or at one of the big box stores, and hiring a handy person to install it. You'd probably still get off for under $300, and not the almost $700 that I paid. Take your time to research and purchase...don't act out of desperation like I did. It will cost you!

Yelp1Shame on me for not more thoroughly checking out this company, Seattle Garage Doors (www.seattlegaragedoors.co) before having work done to fix my broken garage door. Very professional website promises to quickly repair your garage door, inexpensively, and 100% satisfaction. Unfortunately.....they are scammers. Actual experience was that work is being coordinated by call center and done with stringers working out of the trunk of a car who give cheap quotes over the phone, but once at your home, the parts and labor quickly become inflated. In my case the service man quoted me for a spring replacement costing $160. At my home he claimed it needed heavier springs, costing $300. He then said garage opener motor needed replacement, costing $575 parts plus $200 additional labor. After the fact, I found out he drove to Home Depot, paid $128 for a cheap opener, and spent 1.5 hours to install everything. Later that day I called other companies who said they would have done entire work for $425, parts and labor. Calls to the company the next day to resolve overcharge were met with reassuring lines about we are investigating, and "the supervisor or owner will get back to you". They strung me along for 3 weeks before I gave up. Number of phone call attempts to resolve over charge : 8 Estimated market price for repair/labor: $425 Actual price paid: $1,063.81 Amount overcharged: $ 638 Stay away from this company. They are scammers.
