Yelp1An answering or lead generation service took my contact info. A person called back who didn't clearly identify and seemed determined to come over for an estimate rather than answer any question. Started getting spammy contacts from other contractors right after that.

Yelp1I had a problem in my garage door which couldn't be open today (Sunday morning). I contacted USA Garage Doors since they open on Sunday and seem to have good reviews. I was lazy in getting quotes from multiple places and was not very careful in choosing the contractor. It was my fault. When I called them (425-961-9427), the guy in the office told me that a technician will call me. I got a call from (425-553-9199) and they scheduled a service same day (today). He arrived a bit late and told me the spring was broken. He gave a quote to replace it. He charged me $700 for the part. With labor and tax, it was about 1K. I thought it's expensive, but it was the first time for me to hire someone for garage door so I wasn't sure what would be the right price. And, I thought I contacted a company with good reviews from many folks (this is a mistake). Since he was ready to start work and I ended up letting him do the work. He completed the work and I paid. After that, I felt something wrong, so I did some research and I realized that the guy was actually not from USA Garage Doors. He was from Garage Door Service & Repair with phone number 425-553-9199. They seem to be in the business with many different names and you can see the reviews from here: https://www.yelp.com/biz/fix-and-go-garage-door-services-bellevue It is very unfortunate that USA Garage Doors is transferring the customer to a different company, which tries to change a lot to customers who might be embarrassed with broken garage doors, without telling. I might be sold. When you contact this company, be careful. Better to contact other companies that you have the basic trust at least, and I believe that is what people are looking for from yelp reviews. I never thought the company that I contacted might be selling me to other companies. Seems like I paid for the learning.

Yelp5The torsion spring on my garage door broke after 10 years of service. I reached out USA Garage Doors via Yelp and Matan showed up the next day. He was very quick and changed the two torsion springs and installed two new rollers and lubricated the system to go with the fix. The end result is a super smooth garage door - never saw it this quiet earlier. Matan gave a competitive price and was easy to work with.

Yelp5A few minutes after submitting the repair request late at night, USA garage doors contacted me with quotes and scheduled the repair for the next day. They came to my garage today and got the broken spring replaced very quickly and I observed the excellent work they did. The price is among the lowest I got from all the companies which responded to my request. I am very satisfied with their work and would recommend it to others.

Yelp1The business has vastly changed since a few years ago. The owner installed the garage door initially for us. One of the doors stopped opening after several months. We thought it was covered by the warranty, so we asked the owner to inspect and didn't seek for multiple quotes. We made the appointment, and the owner told us he would come. Then a sub-contractor showed up and provided low-quality and much over-priced service. After our initial bad review, the owner contacted us to take down the review and offered to not deposit the check. They still deposited the checks and after a couple of months the issue is still unresolved. The business has lost our trust completely.

Yelp2Went with this company because they were a bit cheaper. In this case, I got what I paid for. Repair man came and I let him go to work repairing a spring. I was inside and heard a loud bang and ran out to garage. He was picking himself up as he had fallen and his step ladder had tipped over. I hung out in the garage organizing things but really to keep an eye on him. Ultimately, he couldn't fix the spring and needed to come back the next day with another part which cost me $50 more. He came back the next day and I insisted in moving my new vehicle out of the garage understanding what happened the previous day. Thank goodness I did because he slipped off his step ladder again and was hanging from the garage track. Ultimately, the job was done but took multiple days, cost extra, and was stressful having to monitor the repair man. You get what you pay for.

Yelp1I contacted them through yelp and they responded immediately setting up an appointment for 4:00 in the afternoon. The time came and went, no one showed up. I tried to call them from the number found on Google, it was busy for an hour and a half. I tried the number from yelp and it went through to some entirely different number. I recontacted them through yelp, but no response. Is this really a business?
