Google5Ace was recommended by Fidelity Home Warranty. It was easy to make appointments at a convenient time. The first tech diagnosed the problem as a circuit board, and he had to order one. A couple of weeks later a second tech came, replaced the circuit board and programmed our remotes. In working with the door, he noted that the springs were inadequate, the cables and rollers were worn after 20 years, and the actual opener is no longer under code, because it does not have a battery backup. We need to replace the the springs and rebuild the opening mechanism. Very observant. I am waiting for a bid, and I will compare it with other providers. Meanwhile, the door works.

Google5Quickly came after being contacted and was very efficient in diagnosing the broken spring and bearings. Malik got everything done in 40 minutes like he said and was very professional and friendly. Overall great experience and I’d trust them again with any issue.

Google5Malik was the best! We went from a loud, old door with rusting components to a quiet, beautiful new system with all sorts of bells and whistles. Couldn’t be happier. Malik was an excellent communicator and just one of the nicest people you could meet. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

Google5I called another company first...and got a very salesy and inflated quote. I then talked to Malik described the job and he gave a me an honest quote with a breakdown for parts and labor. He arrived within 2 hours as promised, and even tho the job was more involved than i was able to describe on the phone he honoured his estimate and completed the job in 1.5 hours. It is nice to see craftmanship and integrity in the same package. I highly recommend Malik and Ace's for emergency service.

Google5Mike from Ace's Garage Door Repair & Installation was absolutely phenomenal. He was timely, efficient, and very cordial. He made sure to explain everything that he was doing, and even called my Home Warranty on my behalf to negotiate fixing the issue. Google5I had an excellent experience with Malik, who came to install my garage door. He showed up early, was very polite, and clearly knew exactly what he was doing. He worked quickly but was also very thorough, making sure everything was done right. You can tell he takes pride in his work, and I honestly think he’s one of the best the company could have sent. Highly recommend Malik if you want professional, reliable service!

Google5The Ace repair man was awesome. First of all he was very knowledgeable about the workings of the garage door. He was friendly, patient, and very knowledgeable about the mechanism and operation of the garage door. He explained what he did to repair the garage door in great detail. He also contacted us the next day to find if the garage door was still working properly. Please let him know that we appreciate his awesome customer service.

Google5Nathan is a great representative for Ace's Garage door. He showed up on time. He was very helpful and he explained everything. I was a little surprised by the cost of the replacement spring but it is thru a home warranty program which is always a crapshoot.

Yelp5I highly recommend Chris and A & S Garage Door. He and his associate Josh were extremely quick and thorough. Check the opener and controls and didn't try to sell me something I did not need. On time for both the job and giving the estimate at the house. (Even though I hate spending money) the price was very good and better than all of the reviews on Yelp where the clients raved about good price. I called around. Chris was courteous, knowledgeable, clear spoken, on time, honest, and best... the price was great. What more could I want other than a door that didn't get run into and ruined. Oh well. He was available on the phone when I called with questions before the job. Us his services for garage doors. (he came out a number of years ago when I had a problem with the sensors, and he fixed the problem then also) A good choice for me. Thanks Chris.

Yelp1I called and Chris came out. He was pleasant and adjusted my sensor. My remotes stopped working and said he'd look into it on Lift Masters website, then said well it's 20 years old. You need to replace the motor, but he'd get back. Never did. I called a week ago Mon 10/23. He said (like before) he'd check his calendar and get back to me between 3-4p. Once again, he didn't call me!! After less than 24 hours of "adjusting" my sensor, the garage door wasn't working properly. On two occasions he said he'd get back to me and never did. I guess he doesn't need the business that bad or doesn't like women, who the heck knows. Called out 3D Door Designs and Dewayne was awesome. My Lift Master motor "DID NOT NEED REPLACING" which was to the tune of about $700-800. Dewayne replaced my sensors, said the motor was fine and the only thing agreed with, were my remotes needed replacing. This was fixed within 30 minutes! New remote, programmed my internal car remote and brand new sensors. Very little respect for A & S and I've used them before but NEVER AGAIN!! Disappointed and disrespected is an understatement!!!!

Yelp5Chris was very helpful. He came to my home and inspected my garage door, which had fallen off the railings. He secured my garage door and ordered replacement parts. He did not try and up sell me. Josh came to finish the repairs when the replacement parts came. He has thorough and got the job done quickly. A&S is no nonsense and an honest small business.

Yelp1If I can give 0 stars I would. Called the company over the weekend to have our garage looked at. I asked if they can check it out Sunday and immediately gave me a sarcastic response of, "you'll have to rob the bank". This should have been a red flag but Decided to schedule an appt anyways. We ended up fixing the garage ourselves and I called to cancel the appt. Chris just said "ok" in a snarky tone and just hung up. Even though this company didn't provide me service, I won't be contacting them in the future because of Chris' poor customer service/mannerisms. Seems like all the 1 star reviews is because of this person's attitude and poor service. I wouldn't want someone like that in our home.

Yelp5Chris first came out to replace the motor which made are garage door extremely quiet and I loved it. Then my dumba** has hit the garage door with my car twice. Unfortunately the second time Chris had to come back out to replace the door. The turnaround time was less than 4 days! Thank goodness. Please continue supporting small local business. Chris is a good guy!

Yelp4Chris was very responsive to the problem we were having with our garage door transmitters (they weren't working despite changing batteries). He came out the next morning to diagnose the problem (bad teceiver board) and provided his estimate for parts and labor. He located a replacement board in San Mateo, went and picked it up and then installed the board two days later. As part of his service, Chris assessed the condition of our garage door and noted that the LED lights we had in the garage were also shortening the effective range of the transmitters. Very pleased with his service and quality of work. Highly recommend this company.

Yelp5I had a emergency situation as my garage door was misaligned and stuck open during a holiday weekend. I called some places on Yelp but nobody answered. Thinking I was out of luck I tried one more place. I called A&S and Chris picked up the call right away. He said he would be over within a couple hours. He showed up early and got our garage door all straightened out in a timely manner and for a reasonable price. Chris is very personable and professional, I'm so glad we found him. He is a local guy so please support your small local businesses. If you ever need help with any garage door problem, make sure you call A&S. But hey don't take my word for it, just look at all the other reviews and you'll see the consistent 5 stars. Thanks for the saving the day Chris!

Yelp5Chris was the only professional that answered my call on a Sunday to get an estimate for my garage door repairs. Holy cow... it was the 2022 Niners vs Rams playoff game day OMG. I called 4 different shops to get multiple comparisons and he was the most upfront and sincere about the work involved. The other 3 took their time to call back. Sure, no doubt there'll be some low ballers with tempting responses but if quality, honesty, and experience is what you need, please consider this place for garage repairs which was what I paid him for. Replacing my snapped garage coil was on time and took less than 45 minutes. He showed up to work on time as promised. No none sense and hard worker. I inspected the job afterwards and I know it's good because I've been through this before. 2-year warranty for work provided too! He's local to the East Bay! Give him a try for his services and you'll be glad.
