BBB5I contacted this company because my neighbor recommended them. I accidentally backed into my garage door and bent the track so we weren't able to open and close it. He came out the same day and replaced the bent portion of the track and oiled and tightened all bolts and hardware. My garage door has never been so smooth.I would recommend him to anyone in need of an upgrade or repair. I will be installing a garage door opener soon and will definitely use him.

Yelp5Edgar is old school - very reliable, knowledgeable, conscientious, skilled, honest. Had to replace a door panel, which had been damaged in a break in, and the bottom trailer piece, which had rotted. Edgar and his brother did a really good job of custom cutting the bottom of the trailer to fit the unevenness of the slanted pavement it would rest on. They also had to take care of several adjustments needed so that the door would close smoothly and stop properly: limit switch cleaned and adjusted, brackets holding rollers to top panel reset, even happened to have a spare part for my ancient discontinued Genie Motor that was not part of the original quote. But Edgar had said that he would make sure the door closed properly when he first heard my concerns during his visit to give an estimate. Don't worry, he'll take care of it he assured me. And I am pleased to report that when Edgar says that he's true to his word.

Yelp5Our garage door opener decided to work only some time recently, so I got Edgar's contact info from a referral. Edgar responded right away and came out the next day. He tried to service the opener for over an hour but it didn't address the main problem. Instead of charging me for the visit, Edgar declined to take my money because he didn't fix the problem. He also didn't push me to replace the opener. I decided to call him again after a week to get the opener replaced. He gave me a great quote and came the following day. He went above and beyond by replacing the entire garage door bracket and adjusting the springs. He did a thorough cleaning job too after the installation. I will be calling Edgar if I need work done on my garage door again. Highly recommended!

Yelp5My mom called me as her garage door wasn't closing all the way. I called Al-Tone at 9:43am and received a callback from Edgar five minutes later. He was available in the afternoon, but called back about an hour later saying he would be at my mom's place earlier than anticipated. Turns out that the garage door was not closing properly because one of the remotes was placed in one of the vehicles, so that it was interfering with the main on-off switch. Since my mom had been having issues with the wiring on one of the infra-reds, Edgar replaced the wire and lubed the door & opener all for a flat service fee. Edgar could've easily charged 2 or 3x's as much, so we were happy (and relieved). Edgar also checked the other infrared, but acknowledged that that it was still functioning properly. Thanks to Edgar -- we will definitely call again for any further service, as my mom's door is 25+ years old.

Yelp5My garage door had a loose cable that had uncoupled from the door. Edgar reattached the cable and repositioned the limit-switch to prevent the door from uncoupling again. Edar told me the cables were stainless steel and didn't need replacement (saving me material costs). Most technicians would have installed new cables , driving up costs. He also repaired the "spring" in 2019 after I received estimates from other companies that said I needed a new door (Edgar saved me unnecessary repairs). Both repairs have lasted and I've had NO repeat of the same problem. Edgar's HONESTY has been exhibited multilple times which is rare in these times. I use Al-Tone overhead doors and recommend his service to anyone needing a HONEST, FRIENDLY & QUALIFIED service.

Yelp5Last weekend we heard a loud bang sound from our garage door, I thought someone hit our garage so I went outside to take a look but nobody outside. We still open and close the garage door like normal until Monday evening I noticed the strings on the side is lose so I tried to roll it back and that when I found out the springs is snapped. We were very lucky to find Al-Tone sticker on the garage door opener and on the wall, without any hesitation I called Al-Tone and spoke with Edgar, he is very responsive and very nice guy, we set up an appointment, he came and replace it, grease it and in top of that he gave me a used remote since we only have one garage door opener, thank you Edgar. Yelp5We have used Edgar and Erasmo at Al Tone for our home and numerous income properties over the past 25+ years. They are not only super nice and easy to talk to and work with, but their work is beyond perfect. Trustworthy, reliable, responsive and basically nice guys to boot. They are always professional and somehow always manage to come to our rescue whenever we have a garage door emergency. I have only one number in my book for anything garage door related and it's Al Tone.

Yelp5Edgar and Erasmo are 100% trustworthy and also just incredibly nice guys. They just installed a new garage door opener unit for us and the price was fantastic compared to other quotes we received. Reliable, on time, and so easy to work with - it's very weird to me that they have so few reviews but I think they are generally busy enough via word of mouth that they aren't concerned. Promise you cannot go wrong letting these two handle your garage door problems!
