Yelp5Mike came out promptly to evaluate our automatic gate issue. When we had questions regarding how it was being repaired, he came out without hesitation, and explained to us. We ended up choosing to have a new unit installed and it's working very well. The person he uses to do the work is very competent.

Yelp5Our Automatic gate failed, I called and/or emailed several companies, Mike was the first to respond and came the very next day. He is a great communicator and technician. The repairs were made quickly, and the price was very fair. Often times I mention my location and the price goes up. I would highly recommend Mike and his team, certainly if needed I will call upon him again.

Yelp1I hired Mike to install metal and wood fencing back in 2018 to my front property with an electric gate. The work took longer then what Mike said it would be. I had to get a fence up to increase security because of theft on our property by homeless people. Mike asked for a check every week, even though the work was never done and now I know why. He later admitted to me after the work was done that he was doing someone "a favor". This was illegal and I should've reported him to BBB. SACRAMENTO --The Contractors State License Board (CSLB) is alerting California consumers who are considering hiring a painter, landscaper - or any other type of construction contractor - that it is illegal to ask for or accept a down payment of more than 10 percent of the total home improvement contract price or $1,000, whichever is less. (http://www.cslb.ca.gov/Media_Room/Press_Releases/2012/August_15.aspx) The person he hired to do the work did a poor job aligning the base to the movable gate. Which i had to have another company come out and straighten it. The fence line wasnt leveled and the concrete job around the posts was incomplete. Mike never came out to supervise or check on the work. We started off with solar panels but the charge didnt hold so I ended up have to hire another company to break into the concrete for electrical access. I wrote a review on YELP and the man literally drove to my house in Concord the next day while I was at work, and demanded to my mother that I take down the post and he would pay me back some money. The only reason why im posting this is because i have since moved and didn't want mike to return to our house to demand to remove the yelp review and harass us. Looks like he wronged other customers in 2018 and maybe he changed to be a more ethical, humblel and professional business man. Good for him! I recommend you know the rules about what contractors can ask for in payment and document everything. And becarful and dont write a bad review. He may call you back to back, visit you, demand and pay you to remove the review.

Yelp5Highly recommended for all your gate needs. When our gate remained stuck in the open position and the original installer did not return our call, we searched for someone that can help us here on Yelp and came across Gate and Access Pros. We called the listed number and Michael picked up right the way. We went over the problem with the gate and Michael said he can come over couple days later on Sunday to check it out. On Sunday morning Michael arrived right on time and started diagnosing the problem. As Michael was checking potential causes, he explained clearly what he was doing and what he was checking. The problem turned out to be a faulty controller board. Since Michael did not have a replacement board on the spot, we agreed on the cost of the replacement and also for him to come back the next day (Monday) to do the installation. On Monday Michael again arrived on time and proceeded to replace the system board. Once again Michael explained what he was doing while replacing the system board and the photo sensor. Before Michael left, he also made sure all the loop sensors are working as expected. Knowledgeable, reliable and efficient. If our gate controller breaks down again, or if we need to replace our gate, Gate and Access Pro will be our first choice.

Yelp5I had an excellent experience with Gate and Access Pros. I had an electric gate that wasn't working. Mike came out and explained my options very clearly. He replaced the motor, and set everything up well. He was responsive, professional and did the work as promised. 8 months later, the gate wasn't working and I called him. He responded immediately and came out to check. The wiring was lose on the plug (our error), but he quickly fixed everything and made sure everything was working. His timely response, professionalism and quality work made for a very positive experience. Great follow up service as well. I would highly recommend!

Yelp5We have a really steep road and our gate needed a new closer and control board along with sensors and power. This install was %100 percent uphill, literally. Michael first impressed me with his understanding of not only what I wanted (a very long low voltage feed to the gate due to steep terrain) but also his dedicated approach to not only giving me what I wanted but also making sure that everything was done in a way that it would function reliably without issues due to the atypical install. He was very adamant about not putting his name on an install that would not perform trouble free for years so he made sure to crunch all of the numbers needed to use the proper size and grade of wire and materials for this. He and his top notch installer Santiago came way out over the hill and through the woods in a timely enough fashion (up here sometimes they don't come at all!) and in a few days our gate was working like it should. This was NOT a typical nor easy install and they aced it. Not only that, the availability to answer the couple of follow up questions I have had has been stellar. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone else out there in need of a working gate even if you have a hurdle or two you need to overcome in doing it, they can get it done.

Yelp5Mike was fantastic...replaced our gate operators very quickly (which was important as they were dead!) and efficiently, cleaned up after, and did it all for a better price than our original gate company quoted. We had some phantom openings the week after installation (we still don't really know why) but he came out and checked within hours of our call and haven't had another experience of that since. Would highly recommend Mike for his quick response time, quality product and service, as well as excellent pricing!

Yelp5I have never had a better experience with a service individual than Mike of Gate and Access Pros. The recent winds bent my driveway gate inside-out, leaving me stuck. Mike came out within an hour of my phone call, and in the driving wind and rain got to work fixing it. He could not have been more gracious and friendly in adverse conditions. He was soaked by the end. He even gave me some tips on improving the gate to avoid having the same problem in the future. I cannot recommend Mike and Gate and Access Pros highly enough. He is the type of person you feel good giving your business too and honestly makes you feel better about mankind.
