Yelp5another company said opener needed to be replaced, quoted $2k, Ron fixed it and cleaned oiled everything. like new, for $150, highly recommend, no problems done in 30 mins.

Yelp5Based on prior Yelp reviews, I contacted Golden State Overhead Doors via email and received a call from Ron on the next business morning. Our door springs and opener had not been serviced in many years and I wanted to schedule "a tune up." Ron was able to fit us in quickly and recommended new springs, which including oiling and checking everything over. Very reasonable cost. Quick response. Knowledgeable. On time. Definitely worth all five stars. Thanks, Ron.

Yelp5My garage door wasn't moving. On pressing the remote, motor would hum but the chain wouldn't move. Glad I called Golden State Overhead Doors! Ron was punctual and professional throughout. He took time to explain the various options and was never pushy. I opted for a new belt driven system and it was night and day. Ron was very efficient and finished under 2 hrs. He answered all my questions and also helped me sync my car to the new system. Highly recommend calling Ron for your garage door repair needs.

Yelp5I had a wonderful experience with Ron of Golden State Overhead Doors. Scheduled an appointment so they could take a look at the job and tell me if there were any additional charges to the estimate of $625. No additional charges so I asked Ron when could he install the new garage door opener. He said right now, Ron had brought a new opener just in case. I was so surprised and pleased that I didn't have to wait. My opener was so old, that it didn't have any sensors or remote. Couldn't get a universal remote to work. Took Ron about 2 hours to remove the old and install the new. The door is so quite now when you open and shut it. Ron showed how to set up my car so it could replace open/close the door. He also told me I could download an app that would do the same. Also had an external pad installed which is nice to have if you lock yourself out of the house. Will continue to do business with Golden State and recommend them to my friends.

Yelp5I can't believe the number of garage door repair services I had contacted ...as it normally happens over time changing seasons, your garage springs bust (in my case it happened late night around 10 pm, when I heard a loud thud & I assumed something must have fell in the hood). Surprise, morning I try to open to drop my kid to school, the garage door doesn't open and ended up manually lifting the door and asking my son to hold it till I could take both cars out. Later, I call and reach out to many garage door repairers (also learnt my home warranty insurance doesn't cover garage repair as part of the basic package). Many quoted very high price ($300- $450), some said will have to come and see before quoting (inspite of me telling them about busted spring). However, Ron from Golden State Overhead Doors (overhead doors, I believe is old terminology for garage doors) was easy and pleasant to work with. He clearly quoted the price on phone and reached on scheduled time to replace both springs and fix within 20 min. Also, he had the correct "gold" painted spring (I learnt quite a bit about garage door repairs and springs from Ron who is very knowledgeable). That apart, Ron was very courteous to swing by again later after few days, when I mentioned to him about some noise while opening the garage. Highly recommend Ron (Golden State Overhead Doors) for any of your garage door issues. **Never entertain anyone who can't give a quote on the phone**

Yelp5Don't bother calling anybody else. My springs broke. Ron was at my house within 2 hrs. Replaced both springs within an hour. He is friendly and knowledgeable. My garage door is operating quieter and smoother than before. I called 6 other businesses and his rate is the best. Highly recommend Golden State.
