My wife and I were looking for a new garage door. We did some investigation on line reviewing different garage door companies different styles, and different prices. We had used Overhead Door Company of Santa Clara previously to replace our garage door motor. We decided after stopping by the Overhead Door Company office and looking at some of their sample doors and brochures, to work with Overhead Door Company. The sales manager - Derrick Baggerly - came out to measure our requirements. We went to the Overhead Door Company office to look again at sample doors and review the different door styles. After much debate, we settled on a "carriage style door with rain glass windows". While price was important to us - $6K is not inexpensive - we were looking for a high quality wood door that would meet our ascetic requirements as well as our long term quality requirements. There are other door styles (modern for example) and door products (aluminum for example), but we were interested in a wood door with the carriage style and with glass windows. Derrick generated a sketch of the type of door we selected with dimensions for our review, and after some final thoughts, we ordered the garage door. Initially Derrick said the time span for delivery of the new garage door would be 4 to 6 weeks. The door was ready in about 4 weeks. We had it delivered in conjunction with our house painting, so the new garage door could be painted. Once the door was painted, we contacted the office and scheduled their team to come to the house and hang the new garage door. The team of Andre, Sammy, and Rick arrived on time and were extremely professional. They dismantled the old door and hauled it away. They hung the new door in about 3 to 4 hours. Andre was very experienced and new exactly what needed to be done. He made sure that all the details were done properly, and the fit was perfect and the door worked as promised. The new door is so much quieter than the old door (the old door with metal wheels and old springs was 40 years old). We could not be more pleased with the professionalism, courtesy, and expertise of the entire Overhead Door Company of Santa Clara Valley team. He recommended replacing both springs as the other one might break soon. He re-adjusted the door travel. The warranty is for 6 months but the door travel needed adjustment after 9 months so the charge for that was $ 115.00 :( Services Rendered: Replaced broken spring

I had used these guys in the past and was a repeat customer. I had an emergency with my Garage Door to where we were unable to open the door. They said they could not get out to fix it for THREE DAYS. I asked if there was any way they could get out there today so I could get my car out of the garage and they said sure. If you pay us $150.00 an hour and quot;Port to Portand quot; which means from the time they leave the shop until they return. Over $500.00 for a $180.00 job. No thanks. I called another company and quot;Five Star Garage Door Serviceand quot; in San Jose and they were able to come out today and fix the problem without gouging me on the price simply because it was an emergency. In short, Overhead Door Lost a valuable customer today. I'd much rather support a family owned company who doesn't screw their customers when they have an emergency and need them the most. Services Rendered: Quote for Broken Spring on our Garage Door (that they installed).

I called them around nine in the morning, and they said someone could be at our house between noon and two p.m. same day. They were on time. Ron did all of the above in less than an hour. Everything done professionally and competently, all in fine working order. Perhaps not the most elaborate job on Earth (for a professional!), but it was done to my complete satisfaction very promptly and efficiently. I would have no hesitation in calling them again, and recommend them highly. The charges were as stated on the phone, and I'm satisfied with them. Services Rendered: Our garage door had come off the rails on one side, and my self-fix efforts failed. They fixed a broken roller, adjusted the springs and various other wires, tightened and oiled various stuff, and got it going more smoothly and quieter than before.

Good. Services Rendered: Tune up garage door. Show up between the time of appointment. He lubricated the door , springs and tracks. He tighted all the nuts and bolts and perform tests. Everthing perform perfectly.

I'm not entirely happy with them. We have an outside keypad to open the door without using a remote. He came out and helped me get it set up and within a day or two it was not working again. It's frustrating to not be able to use it. He showed me how to reset it and it's very difficult to reset. In general, I don't like the system that is set up. The technician who came out I would say bordered on being rude and I'm fairly easy to get along with. Services Rendered: Overhead Door was hired to repair on my key pad.
