Google5Today we had a garage gate break down on us and a very friendly guy named Marcos C came by within no time to check it out and see what was wrong. Once he was here he got the job done super quick and effecient. He also gave me a nice quick little lesson on the functionality of the garage doors so i could better understand them. Overall a really great guy doing good hard work.

Google5I called R&S to see about repairing my dislodged cables on my garage door. They sent two technicians out, (Aaron & Jason), to fix my problem. They arrived on time, and explained how the cables had come off track. They repaired the cables, and greased the track. My garage opens and closes much quieter now than ever before! They explained that the tension on the cables was not tight enough, causing them to release from their coils. I was very impressed with these two young techs, and very pleased with everything that they handled. I will recommend R&S to my family, friends, and neighbors when they have any garage door issues! Google5I had a new garage door installed by R&S Erection of San Mateo. The tech's they sent out Aaron and Jason were absolutely great and did a fantastic job. My wife and I could not be more pleased. We got several quotes for the new door and R&S's was the best price. I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend this company.

Google5Mr. Robert Rubio from R&S Erection of San Mateo came today 09-23-2022 and he fixed my Viking residential electric gate. He has been in the business 30 years. He was polite and knowledgeable. He told me a lot about my electric gate. He installed several items I had not thought of. He cleaned it. It was A plus service. It is hard to find somebody who provides such great service. The price was fair and reasonable. I was happy with his service. Thank you Rob! SK

Google5R&S consistently provides the highest quality of customer service and expertise. The scheduler worked with my schedule and was very pleasant. My technician, Rick, arrived promptly (phoned ahead) and had the old gate operating smoothly again. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional. So happy I switched gate companies three years ago. The annual service plan is a very good arrangement. Original review: R&S technicians are so honest and helpful. Roy was by today and helped get my gate operator back into working shape and performed the annual maintenance (3 years ago another company insisted I needed to buy an entire new unit). Thank you R&S and Roy. On time appointment and superior customer service--even during COVID.

Yelp3We had been using R&S for their yearly "check up" service on our gate. We were told this service was to provide for special pricing if repair were to ever be needed. Fast forward 2 years and the gate wouldn't close. In addition, the calling system was broken and dated incredibly. It took numerous calls for me to finally get a quote and when we did, I was shocked to discover it was more than double of other companies. The only reason for the 3 stars is that I did find all of the people who came out to do the yearly service on the gate helpful and warm. However a huge disappointment on the company as a whole when we actually needed their help.

Yelp2They came to look at my gate and told me rats got to it and it would need to be replaced, and they would contact me later that day with a quote. Nobody contacted me. Ever. Finally I called another firm who replaced the gate, but turns out it wasn't rats at all - the car-detection loop was shorting and fried the board (including on the new gate, though that was under warranty so they replaced both). Not only didn't they diagnose the problem (which caused problems with the new installation), they never got back to me as promised. To top it all off, they charged me $235 for the misdiagnosed problem!

Yelp5I had a gate issue and called R&S Erection. The gate was closing without stopping when my kids crossed the laser beam. Needless to say this was extremely frightening as my son almost got chopped in half by the gate one day. Their tech came out and quickly diagnosed the issue. They then ordered what I needed, which was a new motor and they installed it with so many new safety features that I now know my children will be safe. The techs were knowledgeable, and very friendly and personable. I can't recommend them enough and they are the only company I will ever use for my gate again. Jason and Rick were my techs and they need a round of applause!

Yelp5Service Tech, Rick W. from R & S showed up early to check out our main gate to our property. He thoroughly inspected the motor and tested all the sensor, batteries and advised on possibilities of the problem that we were experiencing during the heavy rains. He was very professional, friendly and communicative. I have had opportunities to deal with R & S for many years and by far this was the best experience I have ever had. Yelp5We had a little snafu where we forgot to engage the emergency brake and our car drove down our driveway, into our garage door. This happened right before 4th of July weekend and we were worried we wouldn't find someone to fix right away. A friend referred us to Edith Mezzavilla, who was amazing in getting someone from R&S to come straight away. Edith was simply delightful to work with and were are thrilled with the work they completed. We 100% recommend them!

Yelp5Scott, Andy and Donna are all fantastic! We've worked with them on a couple of projects (a driveway electric gate and a backyard gate). Each project exceeded our expectations and looks amazing. Not to mention they're always responsive, on-time and very professional. And there repairs are equally as awesome. I crashed into the gate once (so it stopped working) and they were there within an hour and had it fixed ASAP. High marks for this team! We'll for sure use them for all our gate needs! They are a pleasure to work with.

Yelp5Robert came out today to Hillsborough as a second opinion for a malfunctioning automatic gate and call box. Long story short...for $275 he quickly diagnosed and fixed both. The problems were elementary and easily handled. Another gate company earlier in the week recommended replacing my entire system for 7K+. Robert was honest about my system, what it could and could not handle, and what to watch in the future. I'm extremely grateful. We are renovating and every penny matters right now. 2/20/20 Follow up. Gate still not working properly - called 4 days ago and left message. no response. I called again today, got a person directly and was told they'd call back. Haven't requested any kind of discount, etc...just want to get gate fixed. 2/25/20 Follow up. Gate now working - gave me a great rate and all is well.
