Google5I called Vic thinking that I need a new spring or opener because my garage door wouldn't shut. He immediately knew what to do and tweaked my sensors and it worked seamlessly. He didn't even charge me for that. And he didn't try to sell me a new opener even though my current opener is 15 years old. He has my business when I need to change my opener. Many years ago, I backed my car into my garage as it was opening. The garage door was bent at the bottom as a result and would not shut all the way. When my husband tried to fix it, he bent the railing and some of the rollers came out. Every company I spoke with told me that I needed a new opener and garage door. Vic fixed it in 20 minutes so I can shut the garage door. He charged a reasonable fee for his time. I can recommend Vic 100% if you have any issues with your garage door. He is amazing at what he does!

Google5This company (and Vic) are fantastic. I called him on the phone for advice and got very professional and insightful information to make a decision on a new opener. I decided he was my guy, booked him, and he was here the next day. The installation was efficient and the quality of the work (and the opener) was great-much better than a big box store. His walked me through how to use it and when I encountered a problem later, he was courteous and helped me fix it. Cannot recommend highly enough. A+++++

The quote was reasonable, and he was very knowledgeable. He explained the timing and the process upfront and held to his timeline. He replaced the door quickly and professionally. Yelp5I highly recommend Vic at Silicon Valley Overhead Doors. Someone tried to break into my garage on Sunday. Vic replaced my springs a few years ago. Unfortunately, the break in happened on a Sunday and Vic wasn't working. I ended up with someone who over charged me to replace the rollers and labor. He tried to tell me I needed new springs. Long story short, you can trust Vic to get the job done right and beware of BAY AREA GARAGE DOOR SERVICES REPAIRS. Hang up the phone if they call you to send someone out.

Yelp5Highly recommend Silicon Valley overhead doors. I had Vic come over and assess my creaky cheap garage door and he was able to quote me a much better door at a reasonable price. He then brought the new door over to the house (on time), replaced the old door , took the old door away and was done in less than 4 hours. And he worked all by himself! Great job! P.s. the door is now a year old and still working great!!

Yelp5Highly recommend Silicon Valley Overhead Doors. Here's my story: I called a different service to take a look at my broken garage door. The guy who came out did a whole song and dance -- making frowning faces and sighing, giving vague explanations about what was wrong with it, calling his manager to talk it over -- and he said the whole door would have to be replaced for $2500. Worse still, all his banging around as he examined the garage door made it even worse! I was shocked, and I wanted a second opinion. So I called Vic at Silicon Valley Overhead Doors. Vic gave the door a quick look over, explained exactly what was wrong with it in clear terms, and told me he could fix it same day for $180. For the second time that day I was shocked! From $2500 to $180 -- I was so glad I didn't settle for the first guy's quote. Vic got to work and it was fixed minutes later. It's been a few weeks now and the door has remained good as new.

Yelp55 stars, he doesn't need another 5 star review, but I actually look back at my own reviews for who I used last time to get some work done, and I saw I had never left a review for Vic for him replacing my garage door opener ... May 2020, early in covid, when everyone was freaked out about everything. Anyway. 5 stars back then for being easy to work to get this done. My springs were messed up, so i couldn't get my car out of the garage, and he took care of all that. Anyway, I'm going to have him come out again, just for a routine check to make sure everything is still kosher, and I expect it to go fine ... Vic is a great guy.

I didn't bother to get other price estimates since I felt confident of his knowledge, experience, honesty & not settle for incompetence/future problems. Instead of repairing broken door spring, broken remote control, I decided it was time to replace my ugly 40 yo garage door, obsolete loud chain opener/broken remote control with Entire new package to update to safety code, current tech wifi features w keypad, increase house value curb appeal etc. Vic was punctual, neat & cleaned up - did all his work himself & straight through until completed in 1/2 day - Old School hard work ethic. Angi5Vic came to my house within a few hours of when I called him. He observed that the door (wood construction and 30 years old) was very much at the end of its service life and that he wouldn't recommend putting money into repairing it. However, he was perfectly willing to accept my choice to repair the issue at hand and defer replacement until later. He replaced the damaged cable as well as the other cable, corrected an assembly error he saw in the original door installation, and tuned the spring tension which gave the door better balance than it had before he arrived. I am very impressed with Vic's professionalism and pride in doing a quality job for his customer. The next time anything happens with this door I am calling him to do the replacement he recommended. Services Rendered: One of the cables that lift my garage door had some broken strands and I wanted it replaced before it broke completely.

Angi5I asked if it would be best to spend the extra money and replace the unit and he was honest and suggested a repair, which was far less expensive. I would definitely use them again!!! I will most likely call them again in a few months to have all of our openers serviced and or checked out for preventative maintenance. Great job!!! Services Rendered: Our garage door failed and would not open. This was an emergency request and they were onsite within 4 hours. They were able to replace the motor of the garage door opener on the spot.

I agreed to have it installed and he promptly ordered the door and installed the following day! He is a very pleasant man and did an amazing job installing the door and everything else. Our new garage door is literally the best in the block. I also spent some time playing with the door after he left, I couldn't help myself. Value value value.
