They were on-time making a special effort to get here when the sun was bothering the sensors. They readjusted the sensors and moved one back from the door so it would be in the shade. It seems to be working. The technicians were polite, friendly and courteous and showed a real concern for getting the door operating again. Our garage was making a loud noise and was not opening. Called out West Coast Overhead and they were able to come out rightaway and instantly knew that the trolley was wore out. They were supposed to install the garage door on June 14th. I ordered garage doors a month ahead of time. Its specific side is that it needs custom doors for shop and building. They are not standard height; so I ordered 18 and 21-inch panels, and they understood that. The week that it was supposed to be installed, I called them again to check and make sure everything is working out okay. They act in as if they lost my order. They sent another guy out, and re-measured everything. I said I need the squad stores next day because I was leaving town, and wanted security. They showed up on the last day of installation with the wrong size doors. The doors were 44", and they won't put the fillers in. I wouldn't allow that, so I went and talked to the owner. He offered to give me three-garage door opener. He couldn't get the right size doors for three weeks. Now, I don't need them. There is no point in putting them in now because I haven't done my interior drywall, and the point was to get in by this stage, so I could secure the shop while I was out of town. I asked for four weeks on it, first he said yes, and then I got a call a couple of days later saying that it will be here by the middle of next week. Then I called them, and he ditched me. He said I walked out on the deal, and he got really ugly. I paid with credit card, and they are investigating it now. They have taken the charges out of my card. I don't think I have heard things back from them yet. Services Rendered: I contacted West Coast Overhead Door to install garage doors in June.

What a great company and Dan was the best.! Extremely professional and many years of experience. Very laid back and wanting to make sure I was pleased. He walked me through the whole process, giving me choices and what would be the results of each. Because my current garage door matched the exterior trim of my house and is a focal point, I wanted the new door to match and not be the roll up cookie cutter variety. Out of 7 bids, he was 1 of 3 to come up with building a custom door. He also made suggestions to make it look like a carriage house door by adding hardware. He even put 2 boards close together in the center with the handles to make it appear that it opened there. In actuality, it is a roll back door. Dan was the only one to devise a way to have the trim meet the top. All the others said the trim had to be lower causing a long empty space at the top. There were other suggestions that worked, too many to mention. He also came under all the other bids while still providing extra work. After the house gets painted, Dan said he would come back to install the hardware and the key pad. Outstanding service, quality workmanship and was very easy to talk to and anxious that we do it right the first time. Services Rendered: Dan built a custom door to match the details of the front of the house. He also installed a door opener, key pad, and coded my car.

The initial job was good. The guy was very friendly and on time. He seemed to know what he was doing. I spent about $2000. The price was reasonable. I am not happy the way the door has worked out. It does not move smoothly now. It is a little noisy and jerks a little bit. It works fine. They warranted their work for a year but I did not call them. They were responsive. The guy who came out to do the work was professional. I think I will try someone else next time. I told the whole story above. Services Rendered: This business is located very near our house. When I called about our garage door that would neither open nor close all the way, the person I spoke to said that they would be there within the hour and the service person was at my door in 10 minutes. He lubricated and adjusted our wooden 1954 built garage door so that it functioned again. He offered two suggestions as to how we could improve the garage door performance so that it would be less stressed in functioning and gave written remarks and estimates. He also left estimates of what it would cost us to replace the door. He was courteous and efficient and answered all my questions. It was a pleasure dealing with this company.
