Yelp5On Friday night of the holiday weekend (New Year's) my garage door suddenly wasn't opening. This is our primary means to enter/exit our home and I haven't had work/maintenance on it since moving in 17 years ago. I called the local number on Saturday for Nor-Cal Overhead and requested emergency service, I was immediately connected with Bill. He understood my issue quickly and gave me a clear expectation of what the repair likely would require and the associated cost. He ensured I was aware of the incremental costs for the emergency service, so I could make an informed decision. Bill arrived at the scheduled time (same day service) and not only completed the repair, but performed an overall inspection of the door. He walked me through his observations explaining in detail where there were areas of concern and why, and also where things were looking good. I elected to take some of the recommendations for preventative maintenance and he completed that work in the same visit. My door is working great. Thanks to Bill, I feel confident that the repairs and maintenance will extend the useful life of my garage door. The same day service was awesome, it helped minimize the impact to my family. Thanks!!

Yelp1We spent 5k on a new garage door and waited over 3 months for it to even come in. So far, right after warranty, we have had to have them come fix it no less that 4 times in about the same amount of years. They didn't care that the first problem was literally a month after warranty. It's 250 a pop just to GE them out and then usually "something needs to be replaced" at an additional 250. It's a racket. They wanted to charge us to "talk" on the phone with a technician so we could try to fix ourselves without calling the, and paying their exorbitant prices again. Steer clear from this company!

Yelp5Our business unfortunately was broken down into and our garage door was damaged beyond repair. After consultation with a different company at first, It just wasn't the time frame I was willing to accept. This resulted in me doing some research and reaching out to Nor-Cal. Rebecca responded to my request, promptly sent three options to choose from, and kept us in the loop the entire time. Contracts were emailed saving time. The door was installed in a professional and timely manner. Follow-up emails to inquire about our satisfaction. Having Rebecca as a single point of contact was fantastic. She went above and beyond during our difficult break-in experience. I would highly recommend this company.

Yelp5We are extreme happy for the work and customer service provided by these folks. Owner Bill was great and understanding when a critical part didn't work and after some research I was able to find it on Amazon. Bill was glad and helped me out with complementary service and his guys, Vince and Tyler did a fantastic job in installing the springs and the trolley. Very professional work done, attention to detail and now the garage works smoothly like a charm. Tyler did a great job under Vince's watchful supervision They both were paying attention to detail. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company and especially Vince and Tyler. The front office has good courteous and helpful folks. Thumbs up to Bill and his guys

Yelp5This company is awesome! Let me start off by saying I had somewhat of a unique request. I have a single car garage and wanted to gain as much space as possible so I wanted to replace the garage door and rework the rail so that the garage door goes up through the ceiling and into the attic thus getting rid of the rails and motor gaining much more space. I contacted 2 or 3 other company's that would not even entertain the idea. Then I came across NorCal. I called and spoke to Rebecca who was very helpful. She understood the idea and had me take pics and write out some notes for her to show her Forman. After she relayed the idea to the Forman she set up a inspection with the Forman on site. Forman said it was a go but I had some work to do on my part. I had to cut the hole in the ceiling and install a beam, which I did myself. After that the garage door was ordered, The whole process took a couple Of months but Rebecca kept in touch and gave me multiple updates in between. Once the materials arrived we set a install date, the workers were prompt and on time, very nice and respectful. they got the job done fast and everything worked great. They showed me how everything worked and how to maintain the garage door in the future. I'm very happy with everything, the whole experience has been great. I'd highly recommend them to anybody out there.

Yelp5I had a great experience with Bill at Nor-Cal Overhead. My door had a collision, went all askew, and bent a shit ton of hardware. I hit him up on yelp Sunday night and he was at my house Monday morning. It turns out the original installer (me) sucks at installing garage doors. Bill replaced all the parts that got bent up, added parts I should have installed, and tweaked/tightened up things I didn't get quite right. The door is running good now. My door is a little over-sized (18'X10'), I guess technically a "commercial door" with a medium duty commercial opener, but Bill didn't trip. He just fixed it.

Yelp5Just wanted to write a positive review for Bill and his team at Nor-Cal Overhead. I heard about them from members of a neighborhood group that I am a part of when I was searching for recommendations to fix my garage door. My single spring setup snapped as I was closing my garage last night. I called them first thing this morning during normal business hours to see when they could get someone out to fix it for me. They were able to schedule me in for an 11am-1pm time slot. Bill arrived a little early, which was great, and he was done within an hour. Professional, quick, and up-front with pricing. I got my spring replaced and upgraded to a dual spring setup, he swapped out my original rod end bearings, and upgraded all 10 rollers as well to teflon models with built in bushings. Overall very happy with my setup now, and it seems a bit quieter than before. Apparently Bill, the owner, still works a couple days out of the month on the jobs himself so I was lucky and happened to catch him on a day he was working.

Angi5I have used NOR-CAL OVERHEAD for about 5 years now. They are very conscientious and knowledgeable workers. Most recently the panel was dented and they will be installing a new panel on the garage door. They do have a warranty if you purchase the garage door from them. One time the spring needed replaced and it was covered under warranty. I will continue to use them and recommend their price. Services Rendered: There is a dent in the garage door that caused a crack. They are replacing a panel on the garage door.

Angi2The technician came out and told me it would be $285. Told him to start the job. Next thing I know he is telling me that a lot of things needed replacing and it was $680. I felt like I was being pressured by a salesman. The final icing on the cake was when he told me he loved customers like me that don't have it all fixed and then he has to come out again. Paid my $85 for him to do nothing. Called another company recommended here. Price was great. He did not agree with the previous estimate. Services Rendered: My garage door stopped opening. Charged $85.00 service charge. No work done.

Angi5My garage door opener was not operating and I scheduled the company to come out to install a new opener. It turns out that the springs and bearings on my door were shot, which they replaced. They didn't try to sell me the new opener in addition to the repair. Services Rendered: Garage door springs and bearings were replaced.

Angi5They showed up very promptly and did a very good job. They made some suggestions about replacing some other stuff, but, there was never any pressure or anything like that.
