BBB1My Genie garage door opener isn’t working properly. My first call had a wait time of 3 hrs. When told I would receive a call back from a level 2 tech in 1 hr, I waited but no call came. I was sent an incident # bit BBB will not allow me to leave it here. The next day I called back. After waiting awhile I was told a level 2 would call me back. After waiting another hour I was called back by a level two who knew next to nothing. I explained the problem, sent pictures and answered all her questions. I was then transferred to a live call of a more technical person, who wasn’t live at all. I am on hold again as I write this, my call is now an hour and 15 minutes long. My unit IS in warranty and all I want are the parts to fix it. I am 77 and climbing around taking pictures of me testing the various components seems a bit over the top.

BBB1Horrible products and horrible customer service. If you buy Genie products, plan on having operational headaches when the system inevitably fails. Also, plan on having customer service headaches when the overwhelmed customer service team is inaccessible and treats you with contempt.

BBB1I bought a garage opener from this company and it broke after three months. I called their support, which is horrendous, and they sent me a replacement part but they sent the wrong item and Now I can’t get in touch with them. Do not buy a genie garage door opener, unless it’s from a local garage door company. Their support is the worst I’ve ever experienced.

BBB1In ***** **** ****, Minnesota, an authorized Genie seller-installer is incompetent, uncooperative and required five service calls to correct an inoperative brand new newly installed garage door opener which still doesn't work. First complaints were made immediately after installation. Now, after two months of more complaints and failed service calls, the installer refuses to continue trying to correct the problems, They feel they must charge me the full price of service calls and parts because my warranty has expired.. In addition to all this, the remote opener in my car doesn't work. I give the product and dealer a capital F

BBB1They have no idea what customer service is. I called and was told there was a ONE HOUR wait to talk with someone.that's not customer service.But looking at all the other reviews they could care less

BBB1My experience with using genie has been one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had in my life. I waited on the line with them for service which said it would be a few more minutes, for 3 hours. At the end of the 3 hours I was disconnected with no explanation other than the system was having troubles. I tried to get in contact with the live chat on there website which did not help as they kept on pointing me back to the call center, which never picked up. Also the call center would tell me that I could instead choose to go on hold for a call back later, which I tried this and did not receive a call back. The life chat had no explanation and would just point me back to going to the call center. I just needed help with programing a remote to open a gate, after following the manual did work. I would not suggest genie products to anyone and would give them a lower star review if possible.

BBB1manual in the box is very smartly written in extra small letters and with quite strange logic, product stopped working right after expiration of warranty. Now i have to look for different brand.

BBB1I purchased a genie model 3024. Very vulnerable to power surges even with a surge protector in place. Customer service was 3 hour hold and chat line was totally incompetent. Perhaps another product would be a better choice. Company just not responsive or responsible.
