Google5I had a garage door system with a direct drive motor installed by VCOD about 10 years ago. After about 2 years, the door began to bounce and shudder about half way down, the motor would stop, and I'd have to manually reset it, which became a real pain. Despite a service call a few years ago to lube and adjust, the problem persisted. Admittedly it was outside the 1-year installation warranty at that point. I finally contacted Laura from VCOD and asked for their best technician to take a look - someone who REALLY understands how a garage door works so they can pinpoint the problem. They sent Evan out and he carefully observed the door mechanics before getting to work. My garage door was technically a "high lift" setup (more vertical travel than the usual), but the extra vertical lift portion in my install wasn't that big and therefore the graduated drums that were installed weren't really required and were affecting the weight of the door relative to drum diameter and spring tension, making the door very heavy at a certain point of the travel. After a number of attempts at different adjustments, cable lengths, and positions on the drums, Evan was able to get the door properly balanced through it's entire travel and it's been a couple of weeks now without any issue. So I'm considering the problem finally solved after 10+ years! Most technicians would just show up, "do their thing" and leave without actually solving the problem (but still charge you for the "service"). Evan was determined to figure it out and stuck with the problem until he got it pegged. That kind of excellence and pride in the quality of your own work and service to the customer is rare today. So kudos to Evan - and Laura was extra helpful letting me text her photos of the setup prior to the visit. A customer isn't paying for a product or service, they're paying for a problem to be solved. And that's what I got.

Google5Outstanding customer service. I have had my garage door, (installed by this company) for years. Accidentally deprogramed my keypad to get in and the door shut while I was trying to figure it out. Joey, who is a service person came out and within 40 minutes or so had the door open. Have to get a new panel, but that is on me totally. I really appreciate the professionalism of the staff and the quality of the service with this company.

Google5Our Home Owner's Association replaced our garage doors. Brandon came out and answered our questions. On the day of the inspection he personally spoke with the owners and answered more question as well as accommodated our personal request. It was a professional and friendly experience. On the day of the install Daniel P. came out and began the process, he was friendly and professional. He discusses with me the things which Brandon had relayed to him and gave me an estimate of when he might be finished. He even offered to come get me when he was done. He gave me a rundown on operating the door and the emergency release. The experience was great.

Google5If you're looking for any garage door or repairs THIS IS THE COMPANY YOU WANT TO GO WITH . No question. Overhead Door of Ventura has assisted me twice now over the last two years with my parents house (vintage style garage door springs) and now, my garage door with new springs (after 15 years) that needed to be replaced. Last week I contacted very professional and personable Rep JOCELYN to make an appointment for this week and she scheduled me at my convenience. Additionally, she sent me two text reminders over the week which was very helpful. Yesterday (8/14) Overhead Door Representative and Repairman CHRIS showed up on schedule. CHRIS inspected the entire garage door system, replaced and lubricated the springs & track all within 45 minutes. CHRIS was professional, pleasant and had 25 years of experience under his belt. The guy was a complete pro. I had another company come out prior and quote me the same work for $350 more and tried to sell me parts I did not need. Trust me...stick with Overhead Door of Ventura and you won't go wrong.

Google5Fantastic work! Derek and Marco stopped by to do some minor maintanence on the Raynor overhead door installed by Ventura Overhead Door 5 years ago, as well as another door. Marco quickly got to work on the door and Derek taught me about some functionality I did not even know the door had. Derek is incredibly knowledgeable about doors and openers, a level of product expertise you rarely see. Both Derek and Marco were fast, professional, and a pleasure to work with. Thank you -- the doors are running beautifully and with an increased level of usefulness and performance I did not know they possessed!

Google5I highly recommend Ventura County overhead door! After having a bad experience with another company that was trying to upsell me by saying they couldn’t replace just one sensor and had to replace the whole system, I called Ventura County overhead door and they came that day and Chris fixed it in 15 minutes. Everyone I talked to, Including Daniel, Was extremely friendly and helpful. The work was quick and well done and very reasonably priced! We will definitely be using them from now on!

Google1BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE of Ventura overhead. They charge an enormous amount of money for their services, parts amd labor. I had a spring replaced on 11/29/22 and they carged me $675!. Took one hour. Only part was the spring. like an idiot, out of curiousity, I checked two other garage door conpanies the next day that service Ventura and they would have charged 385 to 480. Overhead gave a one MONTH guarantee. The other companies - 5 years! When I called the next day (Jennifer, manager) to inquire why are you so dissporportionally high they gave no reason at all. No offer for any partial refund, no credit for future repairs, nothing. When you get a door or have a needed repair - shop around! You will save hundreds of dollars. And if I were you, never use this company. Way way too expensive.
