Our technician, Ron, was totally professional: knowledgeable, resourceful and Garage Door Doctor is blessed to have him doing service for them. We were given a clear description of what our repair entailed, at a fair price. Ron was done with the work in a very reasonable amount of time and shared some tips on how to maintain our garage door going forward. I highly recommend this company!

Super service! I called on a Friday afternoon, they sent Ron out first thing Saturday morning. Ron was friendly, professional, and fast. Took care of my broken spring in no time. Their service order system is also great, with quick SMS notifications of appointment times, technician en route alerts, and completion receipts, I was never left sitting to wait and wonder. I am very relieved that they took care of my garage door so well.

When my garage door would open, I called the Garage Door Doctor. Scheduling a service call was a breeze. I appreciated the text message from the their office with his picture letting me know what our technician looked like before he arrived. Jason was on time, professional and did a great job. My only concern was with the price quote given to me on the phone. It was significantly lower than the actual cost but no extra work was done. The person booking the appointment should probably defer to repair person before giving prices. The representative who did the repairs was very pleasant and helpful ! He came on time and finished in the time he estimated. He left the area clean. I recommended the company to my neighbor.

Door Doc installed new door spring and belt drive opener to reduce the noise of the old door for $1300. They suggested replacing the "steel door rollers" with nylon rollers to further reduce the noise, for about $150. DIY I bought nylon rollers and starting to replace when I realized the old were not steel but good nylon rollers, just dirty. Frustrated. There was no benefit to replacing them. Frustrating. I don't think it intentional, but it wasn't necessary.

I first hired the Garage Door Dr. 3 years ago to do a much needed, major adjustment to my garage door which was sagging and hitting the roof rack of my SUV. He showed up when he said he would and did an amazing job of fixing and adjusting a not so great 2-car garage door. I just hired him again to replace the hinges and springs and an overall adjustment and balancing to the same 'not so great' garage door and once again he showed up right when he said he would, which was early on a Monday morning and did an incredible job, once again. Prior to this I had to get out of my SUV every time I needed to open my 'automatic' garage door opener for the last month or so. Jim is a rare breed in that he actually cares about the quality of the work he does and is NOT all about just getting the job done so that he can move on to the next job, not to mention he's very professional and pleasant to be around.Thank you, again, Jim! Services Rendered: Replacement of all hardware (replaced with more heavy duty hinges and springs) and overall adjustment and balancing of a 2-car garage door.

Service was great. I called Alex and he was in the area on another job. I told him I was concerned about paying a service call fee if he couldn't actually fix my problem. He agreed and came out. Once out he explained the situation in terms I understood and started working with his son to figure out a way to break into the garage. Alex didn't think they would be able to help but his son asked me a few more questions and suddenly had an idea. He was able to squeeze a wire through a gap in the door to reach the manual switch and presto...the door was open. Alex then installed an emergancy release switch. He didn't try and sell me stuff I didn't need and wasn't overpriced. He helped me reset the wireless key pad and then had me walk through it myself so I knew what to do...excellent for someone who is tactile learner! So that was it. He was great! And when the stupid pad went out two weeks later I knew how to get in, how to reset it and how to put the door back on the auto track. Amazing!! Services Rendered: We buoght a new house and the wireless keypad stopped working so we couldn't get into the garage...because there was no other way into the garage beside the large garage door (so stupid!!)

It is probably rather obvious that I do not hire this company for the job. His preferences seemed odd to me. I guess he didn't want the work. The best thing he did was tell me how I could fix the problem on my own without haven't to hire someone. I guess it wound up okay in the end as a result of his advice. I would not use him though in the future to be honest, and I really could not recommend him to others either. Services Rendered: Garage Door Doctor came to my home to give me an estimate on my garage door. The springs were broken and the old extension springs needed to be replaced. He gave me an estimate of four hundred bucks and then turned around and told me he wouldn't do the job at all because he only works with garages mounted in concrete. He said he likes to work with newer systems that use coils. too.
