Called Aero on Thursday to set up an appointment for a broken spring on our garage door. They were able to come out the next day and fix the door. Joe was the technician and was very friendly and efficient. He had the door fixed in no time. He replaced two springs and fixed a safety issue on the other door. Would recommend them as our experience was positive one.

Our experience with Aero Garage Door Inc. was fantastic. Ryan, was our service technician and he was extremely informative and helpful. He fixed our garage door opener as quickly as he could, even though our home warranty company's phone system went down, making getting approval for our repair difficult. He worked with the home warranty company and came out at 7 PM on a Friday night to make sure that our opener was repaired. We highly recommend Aero Garage Door and Ryan to anyone having any issue with their garage door.

Just the fact that I have contacted them 9 times over the past 15 years shows you my confidence in this company. I always feel they are giving me real talk--fair prices, great installation, plenty of information, timeliness, and wonderful follow up. The latest example happened after I had a new garage door opener installed. Ryan helped me program the other garage door to my car, but explained how I had to order a "repeater" part to get the new door to sync with my car. He said I could call back once I got the repeater, and he would walk me through setting it up. I called and talked to Joe. Joe did walk me through the process and did so with humor. It turned out that the set up wiped out the connection between my car and the first (older) garage door, and, since I did not have the remote control any more, I could not set it up over the phone and would need to purchase a new remote for it. I opted not to do that. But Joe took me every step he could do over the phone, and got the door I needed to open from the car to open. He probably spent about 30-45 minutes--all for free. This last time is the same as every other time, so I can tell you the people who run or work for this company are honest, reliable, and competent. What's more they are superior in customer service--going the extra mile--as this example should show. You cannot do better than Aero Garage Door, Inc.

I called Aero to repair my garage doors broken spring after another company never showed up. The service man arrived in less than 2 hours and had the door working again in about 30 mins. I was given a price for the repair over the phone but the job did required a few extra parts they didn't anticipate, so it was about $20 more than the quote. The few extra dollars were money well spent, the door hasn't worked this well in years. I would highly recommend these guys they did a great job for a very reasonable fee.

Both springs went and we could not open the garage door at all! Scott was out within the hour to fix it which we are very grateful for since I have a handicapped hubby and not comfortable not being able to use the car and get out of house if we needed to. One of my springs broke on my garage. The other was good. i. called them a lady picked up the phone and said someone will be over between 10 and 2 PM. i had a very important meeting at 1 so when it was getting close to that time i called back to inquire about the time the tech will able to come. after asking about a more precise time, she started yelling that she doesn't know! she was extremely rude. i kept my calm. the installer arrived and stated that both the springs would need to be replaced and charged me $495 for the entire job. he even tried to take the good spring with him. i had to ask for it after which he took it out of the back of his van. this price is highway robbery. i tried to ask him for a discount but he flatly refused. said he was charging me $150 for an hour but was done in 25 minutes. $495 for one spring is like robbing the blind. please don't use these folks. there other good companies out there. Good Luck! Update: 3/12 - Response to owner's comments: I am extremely disappointed after reading your response. if you are the owner, you should be more apologetic, and humble in your response. You should've reflected on the points I had raised to better improve yourself. Yet you come across as an arrogant and stiff-necked individual. It's quite a shame that you didn't attempt to remediate even one of the issues I had highlighted in my review. Now let's go over some of the things you stated in your review. 1) Rather than reprimanding the lady who was rude to me, you completely ignored all that. I have been in customer service all my life; if I ever acted in that tone with my customers or clients I would have been seriously reprimanded for my behavior. You completely ignored all that. 2) Let's talk about the gas prices you keep talking about how the gas prices have had an impact on your prices. If memory serves me right, the gas prices rose in the last 4 - 6 weeks. Before that things were normal, in fact, for the last 10 or so years gas prices have been fairly moderate and balanced. So just in the last 4 - 6 weeks, gas prices have risen, it has had such a HUGE impact on your business that you had to quadruple your prices? so what about the revenues generated by your business in the last 10/20 years!? There is nothing to show for? Or are you going to keep on crying about the gas prices that have hit us in the last 4 - to 6 weeks and that has had such a drastic effect on your business that you have skyrocketed your prices? That's is an extremely weak justification for your ruthless business practices. 3) Now let's come to the prices you charge your customers. You charged me $150 for each spring. Now one spring was completely fine. But you still recommended replacing it for "full" price. You could have stated that, hey, since we are replacing both the springs, and one of them is good, I'll charge you $100 for each. You didn't. Now if you are truly an honest individual why don't you show us how much you paid (whole-sale) for these springs? You pay wholesale right? See I have done my homework folks, the best quality springs out there are around $50 to $60 bucks at retail prices. This individual buys them at wholesale prices so he literally gets them for pennies on the dollar. Yet he charges his customers a healthy premium. (his excuse, gas prices) 4) Yes, you tightened up some nuts, bolts and did some minor adjustments. (Do you actually think you did any favors?) You charged me 150 for just showing up. And you stated it's for an hour's worth of work. You were done in 25 minutes so if you did tighten up some nuts and bolts, along the way you did not do me any favors. You charged me 200 percent for it. 5) And yes, you should have asked before taking the good spring. If the customer gives you permission, take it, fine, otherwise, you don't have the authority on your own to make that decision. Ethically, you should only take broken parts. Not the parts that are in good working order. 6) You go again in length about the price of gas. I have addressed this but still, let's do the math. Your business is in Libertyville, I'm in Vernon Hills. That is less than 10 miles. Say the cost of a gallon is $4.50. And your van does 10 miles to a gallon (this is extreme, I know it does better than that, I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt) it merely takes you a gallon to get to my place. Let's say two gallons to be extreme, that is still less than 10 bucks. Even if your drive was longer, it doesn't come up to the numbers you are stating. 7) You talk about going to the grocery store and having to pay more, boohoo, that is called inflation. And a gallon of milk is still around $2.50, not $10 dollars. In the end, I'm just going to say to the larger community. Please do your research and choose carefully. There are lots of honest businesses out there who don't have the 'greed for green' that some businesse

I can't say enough about Aero's responsiveness and service. A part on our opener had to be replaced...we had the part but haven't gotten around to putting it in. I called at 8:00 and by 2:00, the job was done. Scott was such a professional and a pleasure...I wish he could do all the projects I have right now!!!

The torsion spring busted on my two car garage door at 9am and i called Aero if they could fix it that day. They sent an employee by 1pm that afternoon and he was finished within 20 mins and charged the quoted price i received on the phone This was the second time i used their services in a pinch and they haven't let me down yet!

I recently had Aero install a new garage door and opener at my house in Mettawa. I dealt directly with Scott, the owner, who came right out and was very patient and helpful in explaining our options and costs, with no pressure of any kind. We took a couple days to decide and Scott was very patience with us. The work was actually performed ahead of the promised schedule and we are very pleased, so I would definitely recommend them.

The customer service here is terrible. The office staff was very rude to me on the phone. I had explained that I had an elderly grandmother who needed assistance. Instead of being helpful and understanding that she may need more time to be prepared for their arrival. When calling back to cancel I was yelled at on the phone saying that they "wish I had told them sooner" as I was such an inconvenience to them, even though the technician was already in the area. Would not go back here. I will say, the technician was very kind and understanding. Though, for the office staff alone would not recommend. Need to hire new office staff, maybe more friendly people to answer their phones.

II must tell you what a wonderful person Scott, the owner is. He really cares about all his customers. He listened to me and took care of a situation. He apologized to me many times. He really is a nice person who wants all his customers to be happy. I was extremely satisfied with the outcome. This is a very customer service business. One of the wires on the door snapped at 8:30 on a Friday night. We called Aero and talked to their answering service. They called first thing on Saturday when they opened. Originally said they would be there at 10:00 or 10:30 because they had another stop first. I said the earlier you arrive the better so we can get the cars out and I could go to work. Surprised they stopped by at 8:45 because they knew we needed to get out. Scott was great. He changed both cables on the door, lubricated the track and tightened up the bolts/nuts on the door. Fantastic service and responsiveness. Called his answering service on Friday night at 7pm and received a call back by 8:30 pm that evening. Scott (the owner) was able to come out at 9:00am the next morning to fix the problem. Was very professional and essentially threw in a garage tune up as well. He is not the least expensive service out there, but seems to be roughly in line with his peers and his service was worth paying a few extra dollars for (in my opinion).
