Outstanding job by American Joe. I was looking for a couple things when I selected a company to install two new wall mounted garage door openers. 1) Local company where I could actually talk to the owner (Joe) - check. 2) Competitive price - check and 3) Quick & high quality work - check. Joe delivered in all three areas. Plus, I've now had these garage door openers for 1.5 years and can say that Joe also checks the box for 4) post-installation service. One of the openers had an issue (no fault of the installer) and Joe came back to adjust / fix things for free. Thus, my five star rating and recommendation.

They arrived on time for both the estimate and repair, diagnosed my wiring and wall-control issues immediately, replaced a bent vertical rail quiickly, and fixed everything perfectly. They replaced a faulty controller and installed backup batteries I hadn't installed yet—both at no charge. The work is meticulous, the doors now run flawlessly, and the price was very reasonable. My Liftmaster garage wall-mounted unit (Model 885LM) wasn't working, so I called American Joe for repair services. They installed it 5 years ago. He figured out what I needed by my description, which is that the 3V (button-cell) battery (CR2032) was out of commission. These batteries usually run out of juice in 3 years. I'm not handy, but he explained how to properly remove the wall unit and to change out the battery. He immediately answered my call right after finishing up another job. Communicative and friendly was his tone and effective was his guidance. He did not need to come out, but he could have played it another way. I don't know him, but he seems like a stand-up guy. Great to work with. I recommend him highly. Services Rendered: Liftmaster garage door wall-mounted opener was not working.

A spring on one of my doors snapped on Sunday. Joe had serviced my doors a number of years ago so figured I see if he was still in the business. Texted the number on the old business card I had and got a response back in about 10 minutes, on a Sunday! After a few texts and photos he gave me a quote. Steve showed up today (Monday) within the window advised. Installed springs on both doors and adjusted them. Both work much smoother than they did previously. You need garage door service, call Joe. Joe was here for less than 15 min. Sprayed the roller and track and diod little else.He tried to sell me new lifetime rollers for $175. He never checked the downward pressure or springs. I could have done the same work for less then $10. It was NOT worth $59. Services Rendered: Garage door tune up.

Joe replaced a torsion spring in one garage door and replaced all rollers in two doors. He recommended that the second spring be replaced and that strengthening brackets be added to both doors. but did not have a second with him. He returned several days later and, for an additional $125.00, replaced the second spring and added two strengthening brackets. The price for the repairs was higher than expected. Work took less than 1/2 hour and parts couldn't have been much, but I was already on the hook from of the tune-up i purchased. Was not very neat when spraying rail and hinges. Lubricant ran down the door and got all over the floor and was not cleaned up. Light bulbs were not replaced, this should have been included in the tune-up price since not much was done for the tune-up Services Rendered: Garage door tune up.
