Do not use this company for any reason. Hands down the worst company I've ever been forced to do business with. Hidden fees and misrepresentation from start to finish. Appointed to me by Lowe's to handle install of an in-counter cooktop. I was told by Lowe's, Install Tech's customer service, and the pre-installer that was sent out by Install Tech that the $218.99 install and haul away I paid for at the time of appliance purchase at Lowe's covered my installation. The pre-installer took measurements to ensure the new cooktop would fit and noted that four cuts would need to be made to widen the existing opening. On the day of installation, the installer (a 3rd party contractor hired by Install Tech) did not have any record of cuts needing to be made. Install Tech then tried to charge me an additional $280 to make the four cuts (two 1/2" and two 1") to complete the installation. When I called to question it, the woman on the phone tried to explain that the above-noted install fee only covered "basic installation" and that only included "placing the cooktop on the counter and connecting the wire." In total, they wanted $500 to do the installation of a $580 stove. She then tried to tell me I had already agreed to this pricing, which was quickly backtracked when I pointed out that I had never heard of it before. She then tried to shift the blame solely to Lowe's, who I haven't had contact with since completing the purchase. Ultimately I told the installer to leave and got a full refund from Lowe's for the installation and haul away.

THE GUY LOWE'S SENT WAS ONLY ON THE JOB FOR TWO MONTHS. HE CUT OUR PEX LINE, ADDED A SHUT OF VALVE (WHICH WE DIDN'T NEED), PUT A 12 INCH FITTING ON OUR PEX TUBING (ONLY NEEDED 5 INCHES) SO IT RUBS AGAINST THE NEW TOILET, AND DIDN'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO OPEN A TUBE OF CAUCK. THE TOILET LEAKS EVERYTIME YOU FLUSH IT. I CALLED AND THEY SAID THEY COULD SEND THE GUY BACK TO FIX IT IN 3 WEEKS. I TOLD THEM I DON'T WANT THE SAME GUY, HE DOESN'T KNOW WHAT HE IS DOING. I ALSO SAID WE NEEDED IT FIXED QUICKER THAN 3 WEEKS. I ENDED UP CANCELING THE APPOINTMENT AND AM LOOKING FOR ANOTHER PLUMBER TO FIX THE JOB. I ASKED FOR A REFUND AND HAVE BEEN GIVEN A RUN AROUND BETWEEN LOWE'S AND HANDY CUSTOMER SERVICE WHO BOOKS THESE PEOPLE. I JUST WANT OUR MONEY BACK SO I CAN PAY ANOTHER PLUMBER.

I paid Lowes for the installation of a toilet by a professional. The installation cost more than the toilet itself, the finished job left the toilet "levitating" above the floor, held up with plastic pieces in 3 areas and huge open areas noted around toilet base. The professional plumber who installed it told ME to put wood shims in under the huge 1/2 inch gap, which ran 6-8 inches in length between the plastic pieces. I am not a plumber and paid to have this installed properly. I was not notified of any issue until he installed it and called to show me the finished result, which was a huge problem. He made a statement that the uneven floor and large toilet that I purchased were to blame. The previous round shaped toilet did not have this issue. If he had told me to exchange the elongated for a round shaped toilet, I would have done so. I do not understand why he would continue to install something and leave it looking like that. I have since learned via youtube, and neighbors who saw this levitating throne, shims are used on a regular basis to support the toilet on uneven floors and then a plumber cuts off excess and then applies caulking like product around the front of the toilet. He seemed like a really nice young man, but he either was not aware this was not a good way to leave a customer or sadly did not care. I have since contacted the company and requested a more knowledgeable person to be sent out. I am extremely disappointed in the way I was left to try and "fix it" myself. The Lowes employee had told me prior to this that the professionals were vetted and I would have no problems with the installation. I have taken photos and am more than willing to share them with any one who is interested in seeing this professional installation.

They were appointed to us by Lowes installation services rather than someone we voluntarily hired. They supposedly don't work weekends or have anyone capable of answering a phone. After using an automated call system to reschedule our appointment twice they've now pulled a no show after I've had to take off of work to be home for this appointment.
